Thread: How can i copy the text from photoshop to wordpad? | Forum: Photoshop
The reason why you can only copy/paste the selected rasterized text into Word and not a text editor is that it's an image not editable text.
Thread: Brand new forum member with a question on HTML files from Photoshop | Forum: Photoshop
It does sound like your original image in Photoshop was too large. Regarding the last part of your question about sending the HTML file to send others you need to look at the HTML file to check the link to the images and you also need to provide the images in the same sub folder indicated in the HTML file.

I would suggest to use Photoshop to create contact sheet(s). That way you have a better view of things. If you could separate the landscape from the portrait images and create contact sheets of each would even be better.
Thread: Filter Forge (free) | Forum: Photoshop
I don't go for free things as there is usually a catch. BUT today or I should say yesterday I downloaded, installed and entered licence key. I still have a lot of playing around with it before I pass judgement. So far so good though.

It was nice going from CS2 to CS4 but was there massive changes? No.
Yes, CS4 did cost more than $1000. It was Adobe CS4 Design Standard which included Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge, and Acrobat 9 Pro at a cost of $1,800. At the same time I got CorelDraw X4 at a cost of $430 for the whole suite. So with tax for both it was a whopping $2500 Canadian. Since then I've upgraded my CorelDraw X4 to CorelDraw X6. At least Corel lets you skip versions.
if you have the money then go for it. I'm just old school and I prefer to own rather than rent my software.

I went from CS2 to CS4 and that is where I'll stay. I really hate the idea of renting software. Being forced to constantly pay so your software will work? Not for me.

When things don't look or work like they did the best thing to do is dump your prefs file. I am curious that it's happening in more than one program. Also curious why you are using both programs.

Are you seriously trying to compare PaintShop Pro to Photoshop? It's an OK product for the general public. The price is low which is the only good thing about it. I tried several versions since I got it free with every Wacom tablet I bought. BTW, the latest version of PaintShop Pro is X6 which would be 16. Only bad thing about the latest Photoshop is the Creative Cloud thing which I won't be renting!
Thread: Illustrator Question (no illustrator thread asking here) | Forum: Photoshop
Maximum size you can work with is 227.54 x 227.54 inches. You would be better off using Adobe InDesign where you can set up bleeds and slugs and master pages etc.

It's going to be the most obvious in a low resolution image. But even in a high resolution image if you zoom to in you will see it's squared off around the pixel.

Adobe can shove their cloud where the sun doesn't shine. Who in their right mind would want to RENT their software?
I started with Adobe Photoshop 5 skipping many versions as it was just not worth it. I've had Adobe Illustrator skipping versions of it. I also started with CorelDRAW 5 and again skipped many versions of it. My last purchase was Adobe Design Standard CS4 and CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 back in early January 2010. At that time my Adobe package was 4 times the price of my CorelDRAW package.
I'm sticking with what I have although I may upgrade my CorelDRAW to X6. I'm glad CorelDRAW is not forcing the cloud on their clients at this time.
Thread: CS2 Crop Tool stopped working | Forum: Photoshop
You're welcome.
The reverse is also true. If you have the Units & Rulers preference set to pixels and you wanted to crop inches you would have to add "in" to the numbers in the width/height values. Any time you want to override the default you have to add the unit to the numbers.
Thread: CS2 Crop Tool stopped working | Forum: Photoshop
Because you must have your Units & Rulers set to inches. If it's set to inches and you want to input pixel dimensions in the width/height you have to add pix to the numbers to override the inches default.
Edit > Preferences > Units & Rulers

Another way you might find interesting if you want the frame an equal size on all edges.
- Select > All
Select > Modify > Border
Edit > Fill with pattern or color
