To correct the misinformation. Nvidia's Iray does do SSS and it is available from within DAZ Studio. And the 'misinformation' is why so many DAZzies show up in these areas.

Quote - A scene will load a NEW scene. Meaning it closes out the old one. Scene subsets are pretty wonderful. You can save all of what is in the scene or just one or two things. That means if you only want to save a character that you have fixed the surfaces on you can or a whole outfit or what ever. No deleting the extra bits before a save any more.
I was hoping that was what it did. Great! I do want to use that feature.
It seems I 'think' something should act a certain way too many times though, only to find out that's not what it really is. ;) Daz positively could use just one good writer on staff. It seems that most of the writing everywhere, from man pages to sales ads to product descriptions... always have a word or two that can be interpreted more than one way. The forums over there seem to attest to this.
Then there are the 'magic click areas'. LOL!!! I don't know what else to call them. Like in Animate, where you have to right click in a blank part anywhere in the menu area to get more options. The only other place I've seen right click in the middle of nowhere is the Windows desktop. I suppose I shouldn't be so stuck in a rut with interfaces?

All very interesting input. It really is a lot along the lines of what I guessed. Folks are upset with the horrorible new Daz store, but very tolerant... One would hope it would get better? Rendo may be a better location for Poser oriented items, but I suppose that is subject to change with the release of DSON... again... time will tell.
Me? Yes I'm extremely frustrated with the Daz store. Yes, I do go there and after buying pretty much nothing there for months, did pick up a lot of items during the Anniverery sale. I guess at this point, I'll work towards giving it a go over there as time figuring out the Poser side of things would be difficult. Figuring out publishing in Daz is mumbo jumbo. I really thought there would be some 'official order' to files and directories, but even Daz products are sprinkled all over the place, although Genesis items seem to have a bit of order or at least an attempt. It seems a bit backwards to allow this and then need all the metadata to clean it up, but I am learning why/how this came about.
Meanwhile, I'm still progressing along with my work. It's pretty neat to see the stuff forming in the Product view in DS. I have a lot of texture maps to finish up and have to figure out the difference between scenes and scene subsets. Just haven't tested anything doing that yet. Have some poses to create and maybe then I'll be good to go!
Any other advice is way more than welcomed!

Well, I have Reality for Daz and once I dive into Poser a bit deeper, will more than likely pick it up for Poser as well!
I am feeling the same with Daz. It has been extremely frustrating and after nearly 6 months, it's almost like no one is listening. I understand the challenges they face as I am in that business. Either way, there are simply too many things out of place over there and they have been for way too long. Run a sale on Friday afternoon... the website breaks on Friday night and no one is around to fix it until Monday? I was a devoted Daz customer until the launch of the new site which led to such a negative 'web experience' that I started shopping elsewhere. The reasons are numerous. I've tried to be patient.
Thank you for your response Paolo. I positively respect your opinion on this.
