I happened to be on a site and D/L a "swamp monster" that had "hair and slime",and the credits were given to all including Masa, that's how I heard of it, So I went to the site,(been there before but didn't know what it was so never D/L it. Now I just might. But is this "treemaker" and fur-fur one in the same? or do I have to get this "treemaker" ? is it a all togeather different program? P.S.- mac- thank you for the parent help- understand now. Wish I had someone near me for a friend to show me Poser4, now I got read and it takes so long that way! ha!

I just got Poser4, WHAT a difference from my Poser3!! I don't understand anything much yet. When I want to parent something in Poser3 I know how to do it, but there are 3 option to do it in 4, including the "conform" thing. Does anyone want to explain it to me, and how do you unparent something? I do want to thank all for the help on Poser 3, now a new one for me (poser4) and I know many more questions, and trials are ahead.I hacked my poser3 character files up by changing the geometries to the poser3 woman from the original 4 female to work in Poser3, now I have to go and rechange them all back, and put all in Poser4 folder!! hum-bug!! I finally joined the majority of owners with Poser4!!

O.K. I think I know now what to do.--It is a background pic not a prop. I have to put the BMP on a square then put Dork and the other props. As to what Patricia said, the mountain is not a prop just a picture I made in the 3d program Terragen that I saved as a BMP, therefore it is not a 3d object. I whish I could export it as a 3d ojbect, but it can only export as a 2d BMP picture. I see gallerys with background pics and there are shadows from the object on backgrounds. So it's actually a BMP on a square. I'll try that. please answer this question if you can----P.S.-anyone know of a file format converter that will change POV or RIB to and OBJ or DXF? the freebee version of 3D Canvas only exports to those 2 unusable for me formats. Crossroads or 3dwin won't.

Haven't been here for a couple of days, my cat died.Wasn't up to doing anything.My poser exe is in C/programs/metacreations/poser3. I did put it in there. Thats when the dialog box came up. Will try again, and maybe the obj name I changed and thats the problem. Will try tonight, will let you know.-Thank you all.

I downloaded him (them -hehe!) on DD yesterday. Spent 4 hours texturing the body last night. Love it! (at least by my humble standards).Will do the arms (gauntlets) tonight.I have only Poser3 to work with. Posted a note before- how do you get a poser4 character that I downloaded to work in poser3? It sometimes comes in as "Caught exception: exception access-violation trapped at 167:45fa19" What in the world does that mean? While sifting through the forum, I was so glad to see Poser3. That's what I have!! I've been trying, SO HARD to find clothing (and characters) To "fit" the poser3 people. Everything it seem is for the poser4 people. HOW did you get the poser4 clothing on a poser3? Do you know how to mess with the text files to get a downloaded character and/or clothing to fit on a poser3? When I bring in a character for poser4 it usually gives me a "caught exception trapped violation", what ever that means. And sometimes it will just bring in a chest or the accessories like an earring. Hope you can answer my many questions.Thank You all.

The green for the tail isn't showing, I put the obj for the tail in the my-made tail file and also the rsr (what is that?)and the texture. I even made a copy and put them in several places. What am I still doing wrong? Also where are some sites that have characters, clothing and props for PZ3? Thank You again

I don't know what you mean,"the first lines" where are they? But anyway,what I have to look for is if it says PZ3 or PZ4 and of course PZ3 is the one I need, right? Will all props work?
