So far for me it ONLY works while the scene is rendering inside Bryce, it doenst work in "fast preview mode" either.

There is another forum post by SKondris at DAZ stating that it is currently known that the preview, etc. isn't accelerated by the dual-core currently. However, these abilities and more are to be made available in a FREE 6.1 update sometime in January 2007. 

Use of WAV audio (and other uncompressed audio formats) is so ancient these days so you'll likely want to do your own audio yourself. Mimic does great animation, but it's weak in the sound department IMHO.

While I realize that CP's Passport program isn't something everyone has been able to take advantage of, if you didn't already know...

You can get James, Koji and Kelvin (second generation) all for free if you're a CP Passport member. This includes clothing too.

IMO, I paid off the initial Passport cost well before this was offered so it's quite the freebie to me especially since I'd never owned Koji / Kelvin before.

The full bundle's size is big and potentially beyond the abilities of the dial-up user. :unsure:

This is what I did even though I had an account already.

For those who don't already know (and some food for thought as well)...

Using "Opera" (free browser) or something else to "Resume" (re-start broken downloads) will allow you to get the entire product. While you may have babysit it, it's better than having to re-start with IE / FF if you decide you don't want to wait. I've gotten it all already this way.

Don't forget that if you intend to give a copy away...

Who you give it to "should" signup at CP as well to get their own serial # assigned to your their own account especially for upgrade purposes, etc.

If you instead give away your own serial, then you loose the ability to upgrade that copy to P6/P7.

I am providing this download to those I'm giving it to so they don't need to download it themselves, thus saving CP's bandwidth and allowing others to get their chance.

Pluto is a dwarf planet by the below definition and is recognized as the prototype of a new category. This category is being called "plutonian objects."

Aside from the 8 classical planets there are several non-planetary objects: Pluto, Charon, Ceres, and UB313 (a.k.a. Xena).

The IAU (Interational Astronomers Union) therefore resolves that planets and other bodies in our Solar System be defined into three distinct categories in the following way:

(1) A classical planet is a celestial body that (a) is in orbit around the Sun, (b) has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape, and (c) has cleared the neighbourhood around its orbit.

Bryce 5.5 requires no activation or even a serial at present. This may probably be the easiest solution even if it's not the cheapest.

If you want the version of Corel Bryce 5.01 that doesn't require "online-activation" (which includes the presets / content with it) you should be able to download a ~ 90 MB file from your "Available Downloads" as long as you at least install the CNET version "once" and let it register itself with your DAZ Account. After that, you can uninstall the CNET Bryce and install the DAZ version on any machine you need only using the "serial".

After you register the CNET version with your DAZ account, don't forget to eventually also check your "Available Downloads" to see if you have a download waiting. It should be ~ 90MB.

You might think it's the same thing you already have but it's not. It's the full COREL Bryce v5 program, the 5.01 update, the content all in one nice package. More importantly, unlike the CNET version it won't require "Online Activation" everytime it's installed. Instead, it'll just take the serial number alone which you can also find in your DAZ Account under "Available Serial Codes".

You can then decide when version you'd like to keep / archive / uninstall at your leisure.

It would also seem after reading the DAZ PC newsletter (just arrived today) that upgrades will only be possible from v5 onward. So, if there's anyone still on v4 or earlier you'll probably not qualify for upgrade pricing which means you'll be paying full price (if you want B6, that is).

However, if DAZ offers B6 for $1.99 (like they did with Hex 2) then it's a moot point anyway. :lol:

Well, I just got off the phone with DAZ.

I was told that the reason my coupon wasn't applied is because everyone must "wait" at least 24 hours after joining ArtZone (as a "new member") before placing the order for the coupon to appear. 

I still had to pay $19.95. Which is still more than fair and I'm happy.

I asked about the Bryce 5.5 $0 deal...

I was told that it's a "glitch in the system" and it's not supposed to be that way for PC members!

Now that they're open, it will be fixed soon.
