Thread: Show your Poser 13 renders! | Forum: Poser 13
Playing with translucency and SSS for naturals. Incidental La Femme 2 in the scene for scale. Box with volume for atmosphere. Everything is Cycles-based. Light is an HDRI.

Count me in as a), following this thread, and b), getting excited. I just need to get my computer fixed, then I'll be all over this new version of Antonia :)

Speaking purely for myself, I would prefer to have separate mats for the iris and sclera at least, so I can put SSS into the iris but not the sclera. Come to think of it, separate pupil mat as well; I generally set it to be something light absorbant or at least with no specularity at all.
I suppose if the entire eye is one mat you could work with masks to achieve the same thing, but that would make things complicated, so might as well deal with three separate mats.

VERY nice! Me likey. He's cute.
Edited to add, the medieval reenactor in me feels compelled to point out that this is not how chainmail works, though. It wouldn't follow the torso shape like this; it would follow gravity and just hang down from the widest point.
But I'd buy the whole package anyway.

Yay! I'm in the same boat, sad when it seemed like it was abandoned and very happy now! Looking forward to seeing him take his final form!
Thread: What the heck happened to Apollo Maximus?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Apollo still is one of few male Poser figures that comes with a muscle/vein displacement map. It looks decent in Superfly even without microdisplacement.

Thread: Specularity bug AND Version 12.0.387 lighting broken | Forum: Poser 12
Using a jpg as a background (no environment, just background image) is botched as well. Before, I could make it use the Poser Window dimensions by using that as the Texture Coordinate. Now, the background image in its native dimensions is just patched on the background without any sscaling. Useless, unless you adjust your Poser window to background size, which is not what nature intended.
Shadow blur for infinte lights is fixed, but it seems a lot of other stuff was broken in the process.

Environment texture node patched into Background seems to be broken as well. At least, I'm no longer able to get it to work using the Mapping and Texture Coordinate nodes..
Thread: Just a note about Apollo Max figure and Poser 12, and clothing conversions | Forum: Poser 12
Probably a stupid comment, but have you unchecked "start from zero position" in the figure collision menu? I've been doing dynamic cloth simulations with Apollo since he came out, and I never ran into this issue.

Remember Apollo? Here he is with his textures adjusted for Cycles, wearing WildHairMale, also with a Cycles shader.
