Scarab, I commend you for your actions and the reasoning behind it. Even though it was done in jest, you raise a good point about altering the artwork of others. Many of us would look upon the altered image with the humor that was intended, however, some might take offense. I dont know if Bongo was truly upset or not, but try not to worry about it. Bongo should realize that you made an apology and explained yourself, then went a step further and deleted the thread of your own accord. I think that your mature handling of this matter sets a good precedent. When I see the members of this forum come forward and act with maturity and compassion, it makes me happy that I chose to stick with THIS forum. Happy New Year All!

Jack, I was here before the split. And even after, this is the forum I chose to frequent. For myself I would just like to say; You do not have to defend yourself or your actions from the allegations made by anyone from the other forum. I do not know how many others here feel as I do, and would not presume to speak for them, but if you and your team make a few bucks from this site...MORE POWER TO YOU! The team here has provided space, inspiration, assistance, and goodies for all to share, there is nothing wrong with making money from an endeavor such as this. You guys have treated us fairly and bent over backwards to make this a forum that we all can enjoy despite/because of our differing opinions and viewpoints. In closing I would just like to say that although I am not a part of the other forum, I would like to apologize for the fact that they cannot or will not conduct themselves with the maturity or reason of rational adults.

I think the pic has merit. The body looks as if the gun has some serious recoil and the slight blur of the weapon arm adds to the illusion of movement. The only thing I am not fond of is the hair, it looks a little pale and washed out in the highlight. I am very interested in learning how you did the explosion (very nice!). Elfsong

Ummm...I'm not certain but I believe that an application must be written specifically to make use of the multi threading capabilities of a multiple pcocessor system, and so far I don't think any of Meta's products are (except possibly Ray Dream?).

The guidelines should be more than adequate. I visit this site because the people here have been very helpful with the problems and questions I have had, not for adult pictures. There are probably a million sites out there that cater to that kind of audience. I think you guys are doing a good job of trying to keep the best interests of this community in mind.

That's more like it! At least if we have the guidelines we know where the buck stops. There should be no complaints of "But I didn't know" or "well so and so did it and his/her image wasn't taken down". I would like to believe that most of the forum members are adult enough to follow guidelines when it comes to the content of the images they post here, and as was said elsewhere in the forum, there are other places to post for those who just cant (or wont) follow the guidelines.

I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers, but I hope there will be a way to set some guidelines down for those who question what is acceptable content. It might save someone from a bruised ego or hurt feelings and animosity when a piece must be removed
