Thread: Carrara vs 3DS Max | Forum: Community Center
MAX has more toys, but if your willing to spend big bucks get LightWave or XSI, more bang for the buck...
Really though, your best bet is to try demo copies of the various 3D programs and see which one suits your "style" the best... having a wiz-bang 3d program is meaningless if you don't like/have trouble using it...

Tip of the hat to JDexter...
elgeneralisimo did it the way he does MT's in ZBrush=> import base obj. from geom. folder=> morph=> export=> select by group in UVMapper=> export=> import into Poser... it(the whole obj.(mil figures)) may be a bit heavy for some systems, so taking out the hands/feet/whatever else when exporting from Poser might be the best way for some...

Make sure that you have "visible" checked in the properties for camera one...
In the motion tab, enter 0,0,0, for X,Y,Z, in "Center" fields, then switch to Director's camera. Camera One will be dead center of the workspace, select it move to where ever you want then...

Strange as it may seem, the law governing awards is the exact same law that governs contests(Prize, Gift, and Award Law)...

"Mosca and the others who are so bent on getting an answer from the admins about the AOY: Just hush, and enjoy the holiday. It won't kill you to take a breather and relax, and let your blood pressure drop again..."
elgeneralisimo can see it now. Legume, Mosca, and others sitting motionlessly upon the floor, crystals clenched in their overly tensed white-knuckled fists, incessantly droning "Renderosity uber allis" until all of their worrisome thoughts are cleansed away...

farce: 1a. A light dramatic work in which highly improbable plot situations, exaggerated characters, and often slapstick elements are used for humorous effect. b. The branch of literature constituting such works. c. The broad or spirited humor characteristic of such works. 2. A ludicrous, empty show; a mockery: The fixed election was a farce. 3. A seasoned stuffing, as for roasted turkey.
futility: 1. The quality of having no useful result; uselessness. 2. Lack of importance or purpose; frivolousness. 3. A futile act.
AOY: 1. Legume 2. It really doesn't matter since first place is the only place that counts.
For those scoring at home: each subject; the poll, this thread, and who elgeneralisimo thinks should be AOY, were defined solely on their own merits...
