ok...i do have an external runtime on d drive as Acadia has, so what I do really need to do is....keep programs on c drive...get an external hard drive and basically put everything else there?
Ok so about the hard drive ...get one connected via usb yes and it doesn't matter what type?
I am just wondering if there's compatibility issues with types of hard drives etc...or are they basically all the same ie any notebook external hard drive can plug into any notebook?
Is that right?
I'll also look into compressing too

Oh guys as far as V4 is concerned she is now working in Poser...yay i was told that i should install her in the poser runtimes not trying from an external runtime!!! Yay it worked i didn't need to play around with binary morphs...but now i know how to if i do cheers.
I'll reinstall PLH and see if this works.

how do i check if binary morphs are being used? lol i don't use poser a great deal as you can tell but if i can get V4 to work there well....

You could just try adding the mask to a male poser figure's texture map ie second skin
It wouldn't look like him but it would have the mask etc .
Besides...it would be hard to tell who it was anyway behind a mask.

Just thought i would add ...
Different types of files will help you determine where to put them
Clothing usually cr2 generally goes into figures folders and if you got textures with them they are usually a pz2 file which then goes into pose folder.
It can get a little confusing trying to work it all out sometimes.
But if you familiarise yourself with the types of files it will help you to add them to the correct folders and also help you find them again when you want them!

I have seen PhilC's products and have his site in my bookmarks and have heard that he offers great support.
Maybe that is the better option.

To think i originally only got into 3D when i downloaded Daz Studio only wanting the model and her poses as a visual aid for my faerie sculpts...i didn't care about clothing or even hair lol but now i have since purchased lots of accessories for daz, purchased bryce, poser and face shop and what's worse completely forgotten about a sculpted head sitting on her wire armature...ahhh this is definitely addictive.
Thankfully i did not purchase VF only the free trial i may just delete.
I think i will get back into my sculpting for a bit so i can get the money for PhilC's Clothing Designer.
(i have spent waaaaay too much lately)

I managed to download and install SR3 and still not working...so what you all are saying is that it's probably my lack of RAM so i have 512mb and should upgrade it to....what?
So my graphics card should be ok yes?
Is this why i can't use V4 because of my RAM?

I created an external runtime for poser from a tute on Daz site. Everything comes up in poser.
ummm as far as memory is concerned it says on my laptop:
60GB PATA HDD
512MB DDR2
Is that what you mean?
I have about 24GB on my D:/ Which i guess if i either merge the 2 partitions or move some free space from d to c i would have enough mem.
