OK....i must be truly stupid....i get the concept..read the posts....but every time i add a point to the extrustion path... then i, from the menu, create a cross section..reselect the point on the path, the drawing plane that comes up is the first point plane...if i add a shape it is on the same plane as the first shape.... I cant seem to get a drwing plane from any of the middle points?? what am i doing wrong here????? Thanks Fleanbilly

Thanks all, I know you guys are right,Its just coming from a quick pose and shoot (poser) to Max is a hugh jump. Thanks Konan, I will be waiting for that plugin....That seems to be my missing link... The layers do work well, its just getting the players to interact when rendering separate avi sometimes is tough... I will hang in there.... Some times Too Much Power is a bad thing, I do love the interface in poser/bryce, but I do see the limitless future in Max......Konan.....Keep up the work...Need any more coffee.... Anything funny or space theme, he (zenbock) dresses kinda like a vulcan and interviews film and t.v. people, he plays his own music on the show also, its kinda like a blues thing. Can your char sing or dance, can your char. do an interview with a real person or a can we overlay a person into the avi...???? It is a funny show, No r rated stuff. Anything really goes...he has kinda a weird sense of humor.. you can have your own full complete sence or we can work together... it can be a one shot thing or a weekly guest on the show..... Billy

You are right It works sorta .... when I import a pz3 file, The figure is fine but any cloths are screwed up...if I drag the icon and make a new scene the posers arms are warped...they look like this ( ~ ) anyone else get that ???? and boy is it slow......really slow.... Fleanbilly

I will try reinstalling rds5.5, I tried to reinstall poser4 with the custom option to look for the plugin setting like it says in the manual but there was no such setting.... I downloaded the v27 plugin ...but there is no directions to install it.....just copy it into the plug in directory ?? As always...Thanks Fleanbilly

if I create a freeform (or mesh) in rds, group the elements together, export in obj, then write a phi file , run the converter and I get a poseable prop...right ? So if the names of the elements in the group match the poser elements of a figure that would enable the conform option ?, forgive me if this sounds dum, but the cr2 file, that does what for me ? that is just the compiled phi file right. So a prop would not have that file beacuse it has no phi file right ????? again thanks for ALL your help and your time Fleanbilly
