Tried that, tried setting it to use nvidia GPU only, then tried integrated graphics, nothing will get the palette to become visible for me.

FOUND IT! Last time i had worked in Poser, was using dual screens, decided to plug in second screen and TADA there was my library.

Quote - Did you install it into a new location, with only the minimum installed? If so, your old installation has your complete runtime.

Mystery solved....I had installed the program to C but the content had been installed to another drive that I moved the other day.  Search when run from within poser for the missing files would not find them. Copied the folder back to its original drive and all good now.  Thanks for the leading me in the right direction.

I know, I can't figure it out.  All the daz characters are still in library.  I even checked the hard drive and they are all gone. Poser Pro 2012, and had the SR2 update installed all ready.  I will have to wait till I get home and reinstall then try again to run the SR3

OK, thanks EFStarlet, I am sold, it's PoerPro 2010 for me.  I'll still keep my P7 (just in case) can I sidegrade to PP from P7?

I must read the SM site differant than you.  Poser 8 to PP 2010 is a sidegrade not an upgrade and thats not free.  Buying Poser Pro now and updating it to PP 2010 is free.  I have the option to upgrade my P7 to P8($99) or sidegrade to PP($200).  If i upgrade to PP then I can take that to 2010 for free.

So I have read through here on the debate and I really have only 1 question to the artists out here.  I use Poser 7, I'm happy with 7, do I really need to even upgrade to 8 at this time or invest in a new product with PoserPro 2010?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately with DAZ's library manipulation ability I didn't break up my runtimes and so will have to reinstall anyway.  But knowing I can have multiple runtimes will be a big relief for simplifying my library content in poser.  Infact I may build a dir outside of poser and daz and link them back to it instead of putting into either programs directory structure.  I was reading an earlier post and that seems to be a even better option.  Again thanks for posting a respone to my question.
