no problem, I prefer 'slow and sound' over 'fast and faulty'. (and the character morphs and faun-legs are working sofar, they are the most important parts of the product for me)

It's not the 1st time this is done with these kind off sales, so I sucpected this already before I read this post. However, for the future it might be wise if this is mentioned CLEARLY in a banner or something like that on the storepages as a reminder to pay extra attention.... just my 2cts.....

Your welcome ... (and indeed, don't expect miracles from AVX; I've got no clue what functions in Vue benefit from AVX, so no idea how much performance is improved by it.... but every little bit helps.... If there is one thing I've learned from Vue, it is patience )
Thread: AVX Optimized? | Forum: Vue
I'm afraid it's to complicated for me to explain... but basically AVX is an extra set of commands build into newer CPU's. So by using AVX, Vue should be somewhat more efficient... (faster).

In Vue, select the help button on the top menu, and then choose the 'about vue' option. In the window that appears at the right bottom it shows wich build you are running ,,,
Thread: Holiday Giveaway 2015? | Forum: Community Center
I think KristiS is referring to this: 12 Days of Christmas
But that is not the same as what GrandmaT is referring to, which in 2014 was this: Holiday Giveaway - Week 1

Sorry, this new gallery layout is, IMO, a mess. Different sized thumbnails, 'endless' list, makes browsing a nightmare for me.....
Thread: Gallery Images | Forum: Community Center
this scroll list thing, and those max. dimensions, give me the impression the layout is made for tablets.......
would be better if there was an option of how to view.....monitor or tablet.....

Ah, looks like the store is now at 50% for all items :-)
Sorry about the wrong place, I guess I didn't scroll down enough.
(And now off to sleep, waaay past midnight here in Europe......)

Another try-out, now using Snarly's skin shader. About 1000S/p, still somewhat noisy in the shadow-areas and it wouldn't surprise me if I'll have to got way over 2000S/p. I still need to work on the specularity and eyelashes AO, but hey, I've just started reading into all of those luxrender-material specs.. (and not yet understanding all).
Also trying out a different light-setup; no meshlights this time, but 2 spotlights - not directly aimed at the character, but using poser primitives (square) as a reflector....
Thread: Pose2Lux | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
SSS Skin:UseHS shader and eye-shaders from the P2L build-in library. The same 2 mesh-lights as in my previous image, but been playing around a little with gain and colour temp. in Luxrender (each mesh-light in its own group, so I can adjust them individually).
Editing the Lux-material/shaders is something I've got to learn from scratch, so that will take me a while (said in the most optimistic tone). Maybe I will resume rendering this image later on to see if the shadow area will become better. For now, my render-system is cooling down (and needed for other projects).

No, no headache, my brains won't allow that (they just shut down and restart).
BTW, colour absorbtions works exactly as I would imagine .. (and yes, colour, I'm dutch, I've learned English, not American ...:-) )
New test now at 200 S/p, I guess just another 9 to 10 hours to wait.....

Thanks for the info, and yep, I had already seen the Wiki (and still recuperating from it ....). It's been some 20+ years since I've done my last (hobby-)programming, and making those .xml files sure looks alot like programming, so that will also take some time getting back into it....
(Now you've really done it  )
Thread: Pose2Lux | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've got another test running, same character and light setup (but different pose and camera-angle), only this time using the "SSS Skin:useHS" shader. Also NOT using the hybrid mode this time (which cannot use the bidirectional path tracer)
(BTW, in both scenes I also used the options available for the eyes.)
As this will take about 5 to 6 times longer to render it will be a while before posting.
As to editing the skin shader settings; I only see 2 .xml files in the P2L distribution. They do not (seem to) hold the data for the built in shaders, so how to modify them (apart from writing a complete new .xml file.... and learning what all those parameters do .....) ?
