Turtle, I do the same types of renders that you do. I make my pretty little fae's, add some postwork from PSP and Jungle (thanks for that tip by the way)...etc. I got P5 so that I would be able to use my existing library (spent LOTS of $$ there) and tweak some things here and there and just have a better version of what I had before. I have found that in P5 everything is a pain in the ass. Its slow, locks up and it takes me 3 times longer to do one simple thing in there than it does in P4. I think that because we do things so similar I am feeling exactly the way you are. =(

I have a P3 866 with 512 RAM. It runs like a slug. I am quietly waiting for my dual proc Dell Precision Workstation 530 to come in. (ok, so im not being so quiet about the waiting part)

It checks your LAN at a hardware level...this does not mean that it sends info back to CL via the internet.

If nothing else reinstall it on the C drive bare bones and test it. Then try adding the P4 directory and test that. I know that mine was choking to death last night in the hair lab. Maybe I need to re-read my manual but the hair room seemed less user-friendly than what I thought it would be.

I just got my Poser 5 yesterday...The one thing about Judy that I noticed is that she just is not pretty AT ALL. Vicki works just fine...once I get more familiar with everything in P5 I hope to be able to change Judy up to be more attractive.

Tisa, you are indeed a Troll. Sounds like you need to fly to Rome and visit a museum. I don't think you do know what you are looking for though. I consider any attempt by anyone to be artful. Its better than sitting in front of the tube watching Judge Judy eating bon-bon's. You should go elsewhere to make these types of posts. I surf the gallery everyday and I am amazed or at least impressed by 1 out of every 10 pic's I see. I'm with the others...lets see YOUR "art".
