Guys, thanks for all the enthusiasm and comments. Thunderstone has done a good job of promoting these downloads.Enjoy the IBL probes and do lots of renders to show me what can be done with all my hard work.
And of course if you have any contributions/comments and stuff for the BryceBlog let me know...
Thunderstone was right about the downloads. I was constantly uploading and tweaking up t'til yesterday so there might be some issues with dropped downloads...I have just tested the largest download now from my work's network and it downloaded fine!

I was asked "Does this work with IBL?" I don't really know... Any folk willing to experiment and see if it kills Bryce or if there are other problems...

I have set up a function on the BryceBlog to allow you to subscribe to a notification service that will e-mail you when there is a new post on BryceBlog. It is as secure as I can make it without making it counter-intuitive. The e-mail database is stored behind a firewall and only one person - the administrator has access to the e-mail addresses, and he (me) is so paranoid about spam that he would sooner have his nipples burnt off with a blowtorch than let anyone at that list!
The link is at the top of the main BryceBlog page. You can subscribe to the service and an confirming e-mail will be sent that you can then confirm and set up what notifications you want to receive.
I find it handy on other blogs because I often forget to bookmark or get out of the habit of checking my favourite blogs regularly!

Thanks guys. If you know of any discussions in the forums that might merit a "morphing" into a tut of sorts please let us know. There is a huge amount of info that is exchanged in the forums but is often lost in the "background noise".

Dhama, Thanks. I am sure that I am not the first to have discovered this. I just put it in a place where a lot of folk can see it. Watch the BryceBlog, there is more coming...SanityImpaired has just send me a real ripper of a tip for defaults.

Thanks for fixing it Rosemary. Sometimes we miss can stuff in the move. I have done that plenty of times and only spotted it weeks or months later. The community is keeping an eye on BryceBlog for us. That is a good sign!

Minor "heads-up" on one of our the postings (mini-tutorials) made by one of our authors on the BryceBlog. (The HDRI mini-tutorial) It seems that the links are pointing to an old host and the files are now missing giving errors or "broken image" icons. I will sort it out with the author and fix the post as soon as possible.
For those that tend to get lost and forget where things are (I suffer from this "short term memory losses" as well, SkiWillGee!) I have ensured that the blog is listed on my rather modest sig at the bottom of all my Renderosity postings. It is on the right of the sig...

Thread: Golden Tori Awards---Voting Booths Now OPEN! | Forum: Bryce
Attached Link: Backup page for viewing Golden Tori nominees
With the Bryce-Alive network down, here is a backup to this page, should you require it...Quote - I have heard of some complaints/suggestions about the inability to see the candidates in each category BEFORE going to vote. A very legitimate issue which I have attempted to address as best as I can!
I have set up a page where all the nominees for all the categories in the Golden Tori 2008 Awards are now displayed.
Links to the artist's page, a small thumbnail of the image/s AND a link directly to the voting page are all provided!
This will give you an opportunity to check out the "candidates" first before entering the voting booth. The page is somewhat simplistic and might take a minute or two to load for dialup users, but it serves the purpose well enough for now:
Go to:
http://www.bagshotrow.co.za/gt/all.html
Best of luck to all the nominees!

There is a **backup site** for this page at this [location](http://rga.sun.ac.za/gerga/gt/all.html) should the Bryce-Alive network still be down. A tad slower than the Bryce-Alive network, but still useable.Hamfast - Hobbit of Far Harad

Accept the security certificate. (do the "not recommended" thing) The voting site is on a server that runs secure and confidential surveys and tests for the university - hence the certificate. I checked with the SYSADM and he assures me that it is 100% A-OK.

Glad you like my site, Bandolin. When I was a beginner I really appreciated help from the "bryce-gods". Now that I am no longer a beginner, (perhaps an established novice at best IMHO) I can put back what I took out of the community, and I like to tell people how I did things. It takes the mystery and the fear out of the creation process for beginners. Will I be banned for using Rhino3D and Poser? Hamfast P.S.
