I have never used that program before. I would only increase the poly's on the shirt, the skirt looks like it would drape well.

I think that is good, I would personally increase the amount of polygons a bit and you might get better draping. I dont know what software you are using but it looks good to me for a first try

there is one thing you can do to make sure its not a hardware problem, there is an option that is checked by default called automatic restart. This happens on system failure. You can uncheck this option by right clicking on my computer click properties, click advanced select settings under system recovery uncheck automatic restart. This will most likely not fix your problem but it could help you figure out what is happening, IE a blue screen of death.
Thread: Okay, let's compare the two D/S and Poser 4 | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I think it is very difficult to compare the two at this point. You are talking about alpha software compared to full release software. I couldn't make any judgement on it at this point except that DS is almost doing what poser does and its only in Alpha stages.

Thread: DAZ Studio---What's the purpose? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I can say that I am very interested in seeing Daz studio. Just the use of hardware acceleration is great. You would have thought that CL would have included this feature in Poser 5. They most likely tried but couldn't get it to work right considering that P5 was released way before it should have been out of alpha stages. Now it might be in the first beta stages. Daz has warned about the lack of optimization with the studio beta, so it may be have some or a lot of bugs, but thats why they call it a beta. Hopefully they will get a lot of feedback from the "beta testers" to fix it and get it to a stable working stage. Maybe I will just stick with Maya if DS doesn't cut it. Even if Daz Studio is just a render engine, So is Renderman and Mentalray for maya. They sure out render Poser if you can figure out how to use them. I am hoping Daz studio will include Global illumination in their renderer. Poser render engines are really bad including FireFly. Thats just My Opinion.

I think I better put my two cents in. I have been a member of renderosity before it was renderosity. I remember the Rename the "Poser Online forum contest" I believe that Lady Cherry has been a member almost that long or longer. This is a complete and utter stab to all long term members of Renderosity, Whats next removing free stuff because too many people download it even if the download isn't using Rosity's bandwidth? Or maybe Just weed out all of the long time members completely? I would like to see proof. Numbers, facts, figures not just hunches.

You may need to export that High-res square as an obj file then UV map both sides of it. Then import the mapped OBJ file back into poser. This may fix your problem.

Thread: Computer Reboots while Rendering?!? | Forum: Poser Technical
I have an Nvidia GeForce 4 440se that thinks its a quadro. If you had the same problem then that says right there that it is not a vid card problem. Could be ram or even something in the bios set incorrectly for your ram or even your video card.

I am not sure about your board being one of the problem boards, but I know that Via chipsets and ATI AGP radeon cards with AMD processors don't get along very well. This is not the case with all motherboards but many have the problem. Asus boards are famous for it. This may be something you may want to investigate a litte. I ran into that problem using maya with my ATI card. I no longer have the problem because I am now using an NVidia based card. This may help you in your search for a solution.
