Well, the movie kind was kind of stupid in some ways. Spawn's cape is frequently torn up in the comic books, but in the movie, they did make it like a protective cloak-thingy, ala Batman's cape in the horid "Batman Forever" (remember the lame fire-repellent cape morph thing he did in the sewers?). If he were modeling it from the movie, he'd be pretty far off, but like he said, in his other post, its based on the post 100th issue version of Spawn. Using that as a comparison, it gets an A+. GREAT character! I personally like the cape, although I agree with VirtualSite that the perforated cape can diminish some of Spawn's presence. A trans map would be great for the cape -- one for intact, and one for "battle damaged". Also, what about the mask? It'd be pretty cool to have a hamburger-head texture like this one, and also a regular mask texture. All in all, its great work. Can't wait to see it when its done. Jimbo

I bought Vairesh's "Dana" hair for the purpose of using it for rendering. its a great model, but needed a little bit of tweaking on the trans map to make it match better. But like you said, its not free, so I couldn't distribute it with the character. Ideally, I'd like to have everything in one .zip to make it easier, but I realize this might not be possible -- short of making the hair and clothes myself. Might give that a go. I always thought making a morph would be hard, but it was a lot easier once you actually get into it. Same thing probably applies to the hair and clothes. Hopefully someone has or can included hair. nfredman: I had the shape of the lips dead on, but when I went to make this image, I had to part the lips a bit to match the original pose of her in the photo. Poser in general is kind of weak when it comes to mouth movements.
That's been my experience, anyway. Making mouth movements is easy, but when you're working off an actual reference photo, its difficult to get them to match up. Anyway, the mouth is more accurate than this photo appears. And like you said, its a bit off due to the fact that we're comparing two different photos. The promo picture I used has her mouth a bit more defined and with higher arched eyebrows; the glamour shot leather-guy posted is an example of her looking different from one photo to another. I've been trying to recreate the look of different photos so that I can make changes and get a more accurate look.
Anyway, I'm going to be done pretty soon with this character, and I'm trying to decide who to do next. Wait, that didn't sound right. :) Ok, I'm trying to decide who to model next. There we go. I like modelling real people in Poser... its a hell of a challenge. Maybe Angelina Jolie? I saw someone made an awesome Jolie model before, but its not around any longer. Its a shame.
By the way, if anyone has a hair model or a transmap for a hair model that matches Scully's, I'd be interested in including it when I put this character in FreeStuff. Full credit will be given, of course. Also, a Sig 9mm and a trenchcoat would kick ass. There are plenty of shirts and pants available for Vicky, so that won't be a problem.
Let me know if you have something to add. :)

Finally! I'm able to buy now. The certifcate change didn't do anything for me, since I wasn't having any problems with the first one. But for whatever reason, it works now and I have my items. :) John

Thanks for the offer, and I'll mostly likely need it. I've never released anything for Posette, let alone V2, so I'll no doubt need help. Also, I have a possibly stupid question: How does one go about making clothes fit a character after the dials are altered? There are some decent clothes objects for Vicky, but when you put them on the clothes are all wrong. The breast size, shoulers, arms, etc. I know that there are clothes out there that will conform to the target perfectly, but how do you get the normal Vicky clothes to fit? I'd like to make some textures and things for the V2 clothing so that when I release the character, she'll have some proper attire. Any suggestions other than magnets? I've never been good with them. zoozI2000: Actually, the mark is there. Right above her mouth on the left side (her left). I'm not trying to make an actual Gillian model, but rather her character. I don't know the legalities of actually calling it by the character's name (could be copyright infringement and all of that noise). The actual character doesn't have the mark -- they cover it with makeup. Since I used an actual promo photo for the texture, its there. :) Cody, I'll most likely release the character when its done. I have to figure out how to do that though, since its a V2 character and from what I've read on the board, it can be tricky. Jimbo
Thread: Question about credit cards | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
I've been having the same problem with the Market Place. I've bought things here before without any trouble. Now I'm trying to buy an item and it keeps giving me a Page Not Found/Server Not Found/DNS Error. I know its not my ISP's DNS becauseI can resolve the secure.bondware.com domain, which is the credit card processing gateway for Renderosity. They are using some kind of scripting with .ez extension, which I have never heard of, but assume its PHP or ASP. There's got to be something wrong with the scripts. When you click Checkout, it takes you to https://secure.bondware.com/~poser/checkout.ez, which shows you your shopping cart contents. When viewing the source code for that page, the Make Secure Purchase button takes you to the same URL, but posts different variables. I've tried using two different Visa credit cards, and it returns the same error. This is getting pretty frustrating, since I need this item right away. Unfortunately, its a Renderosity-exclusive item, so I don't have any other options. I hope someone gets on this problem and corrects it soon. John
