I can find my way around a .cr2 or pz3 file well enough to delete the extra references, but not enough to figure out how to solve the problem or even if the fix is even in the .cr2 or .pz3 file. The work-around I have in mind is to parent the magbase to to something other than what the magent is deforming. In my test, I created a magnet on P4Fem's shoulder. Saved it, opened it, had the problem. Added a square to the scene, moved it into the shoulder and parented it to the shoulder. Then I changed the parent of the magbase to the square and then scaled it down. Saved it, opened it, and no new extra references this time. Looks like the extra references only get created when a magnet is deforming something it's base directly parented to. Anybody else wanna see if this works for them?

Personally, it'll take me a long time and a lot of trial and error before I'm satisfied enough to spawn a morph target. And in cases like when I use a magnet for posing hair, I've found it easier to leave the magnet on the character's hair rather then saving the magnet separately and bringing it in every time I want to use the character. I haven't tried any magnets I have saved as props since I upgraded to ProPack so I don't know if there's a difference yet. Before this goes too far off topic, does anybody out there know of a fix for the problem I brought up in the beginning of this thread. I've got an idea or two for work-arounds that I haven't had a chance to try yet, but I'd prefer a fix to this "bug".

Nice to know I'm not the only one who saw this problem. I need magnets on my characters. I use modified versions of WyrmMaster's breast mags on most of my female characters which not only change the size and shape of breasts but the same set of magnets make clothes fit and can be used for posing. I also attach a magnet to hair for posing as well. If I don't find a solution to this, I may have to stop using ProPack until a solution is found.

Okay, I uninstalled the ProPack, reinstalled Poser4.0, reinstalled ProPack, and reinstalled SR2. I still get the same problem. I also created a new PZ3 file with just the P4Fem and a magnet parented to her to test if I'll get the problem. I still do. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks.

Actually, I thought the joint parameters got messed up, too. I dug up an earlier version that had the joint changes done to it and it was fine at first. Then used CR2Editer (1.51) to try and compare it to the one that was messed up. Didn't make or save any changes. Then I used Morphmanager to copy some of the morphs from the messed up one to the older version and saved it as a new file. (No morphs were added to the thighs or hip.) Then I opened the new file I made and it had the problem. Then I opened the file that was good and now that had the problem too. I've already started over and so far the problem hasn't come back.

The right thigh works fine otherwise. This only happens when rotating the body or hip on the y-axis. Nothing strange happens when rotating on the x or z-axis. The character is essentially the P4 female. I've been adding a couple morphs to it and I played with the joint parameters a bit to try to get rid of the crumpling the sometimes happes. I checked in CR2 Editer and the thigh is still parented to the hip. Where do I find the level number? Thanks.
