Yes, it would be handy. I had made the same suggestion some time before to one of the moderators, but don't remember to whom. I think it would be useful & help you navigate better through the galleries.

I've used many of them in fantasy settings too, check my gallery if you'd like. I am no good with the portraits, they are hard to do right, and i become frustrated easily! I'd like to see someone using the BGs this way.

What I really liked in babylon 5 was the continuity of the plot, the greater theme with the Shadows. **And of course, the use of CGI! Some ships designs and effects were very inspired! I think it was the first show to use so advanced 3d graphics at that time. **And, yes, kosh too!

Strange... nobody is watching ROME? I 've seen the first 8 episodes and they are fantastic, one of the best series i've watched! I also liked Babylon 5 very much, that is the seasons 1-4, the fifth left me with a bitter taste..
Thread: modeling ones own stuff in competitions | Forum: Community Center
svdl wrote: " A plus of modeling your own stuff is making the image unique. Most models on the marketplace are easily recognized when used in a render." I totally agree to that, some items really stand out. But i think this happens because most of the users here, don't bother much with their images, they just import an object, import premade lights & cameras, and then hit "RENDER". Still some artists create unique images, using favorite products; they put a lot of effort to present these items in an original way, using their own unique style. Concerning contests, i don't think that an image based on "ready-to-render" products would get many votes, ranks, or whatever. So, bottom line for me is: Modeling your own stuff & breathing new air into other's products, are two different things, both fit for praise!

So... "Bring out the gimp" eh? ;) I know about thumbs & postwork, you can check out my gallery any time! What i was talking about is that i beleive the comments loose their purpose when mindlessly given around praising each posting. Not all posts are equally good, even by the same artist, but the comments are always praises.
Thread: Artists' Payments | Forum: Community Center
hmm.. from $100-$1000 - that's a lot of range, can someone give an example? "I did the CD cover of 'band X', and got $1" for example. (The artist of the example must have become a hermit!)
