Regarding Joan's red hair; I did a google image search for background. In most cases where there was a color image, the hair appeared to be some shade of red.
Thread: Long LONG render - help? | Forum: Bryce
Your settings are the same as the ones I use 99% of the time. The size of the image seems about right. There are 24 bits per pixel (3 bytes) in an uncompressed image so it should be at least 3426 Kb. How many lights do you have in the scene? The number of lights increases the render time dramatically. - Yolanda

Thread: Get rid of herky-jerky posing??? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
From your description of the problem, a new video card may not be the solution, especially since you have the same problem with Poser. It may be a system/memory timing problem which you might need a professional to answer. I have not heard good things about XP or AMD, and my own system is Win2000 with Intel x686. Somebody has written some benchmark tests for poser, I think maybe Dr. Geep, that mught give you a start on narrowing down the problem.

I am not sure what you mean by "herky-jerky". I have an Nvidia GeForce FX5500 with 256Mb Vram that seems to work fine on D|S, Poser and Bryce. - Yolanda

PoseRay will also convert LWO to OBJ and has some features to make them compatible with Poser's demands. It is free at http://mysite.verizon.net/sfg0000/

I use the freebie utilities from www.netherworks-studios.com . They are magnet sets and center-set poses that let you generate a hair fitting morph in the new hair that is generated. - Yolanda
Thread: Importing P5 to Bryce 5- eye mats wrong. | Forum: Bryce
If you export your P5 scene from Daz Studio, it writes a proper .MTL that takes care of all the material transparencies and such. A little tweaking afterwards can help the quality (depends on your demands)

The little "rainbow border" thingies are compression artifacts. If you absolutely need to use JPG, set the quality option to 95% in the save-as pulldown. Your otherwise excellent example picture looks like a quality setting of less than 50%.
