Im Josh, Lead Designer/mapper/coder of this project. The basic idea of this game is to create or recreate utopian scenes in unrealed. What I would like to see is a good atmosphere mood in these places, make me really feel like im there and connect with the place you have invisioned. Totally non-profit fun place to gather, make friends, and have fun doing multiplayer activites.
There are few ways I use vue for content in Unreal Ed.
Also with Milkshape3d, almost any 3d object format can be converted to unreal format.

To go into the profit deal alittle more, the only imediate profit I see is making friends, having fun, and learning about a widely used game engine. I don't really see commercial profit in this. There is no team, its more of an organization of designers so commercial profit from a gathering of others works doesn't sound like a good idea.

Thread: Alpha planes and personal input. | Forum: Vue
I use alphas for waterfalls because it is much easier and takes alot less time than getting the terrain positioned/textured right and usually isnt what I imagined in the first place. Alphas are good for putting a ton of objects that dont need much detail as well. Ive yet to use an alpha for a sky but would try it. Lately I've been opening my images in photoshop or paint shop pro and adding some saturation to them, they look much better than they do right out of vue. I say if your going to make art, use any technique possible that gets the results you desire.

you can probably only use alphas for the distant soldiers. as you get closer to the camera and lights it's better to use actual models.

This will be a true challenge to most of us. Got an idea of who's going to do good if they enter.

You have to build a reputation like anywhere. When I started posting here, I didnt get many comments(didn't really deserve them on some images). As my art developed I started getting more and more. I've been here over 3 years so far and averaging about 20-30 comments on my good pictures. Animating thumbnails is a way to get more people to look at your images. It helped out on some of my waterfall pictures. That's what makes people look at your image in the first place, or for me atleast. I don't care who's name is below it.

agiel's first post is very intelligent and accurate. As long as your content with what your making, I don't see a reason for comments as far as art goes. Just think if you had vue but no internet connection. Would you still have the same images? yes. you have to love your own work before others will.
Comments are good encouragement and I'm wondering who put above the comment box "Your helpful comments for improving this image:" Shouldn't that only be with images in the W.I.P category?
Actually it seems that the images you strive and work really hard on get less comments that the ones that take no time. I don't really understand that but it happens to others too.
