Attached Link: JonnyBravo Video Tutorial - Carrara Dynamic Hair
Yes, Mark Bremmer's tuts are very good and well worth the price of admission at VTC.You might also take a look at the hair tutorial recently posted by JonnyBravo2010 over at Daz; it's a video with voice over narration and includes some good tips.
The video tutorial is toward the bottom of the page.
Good luck.
Thread: How do you extract UV maps from an obj using carrara shaders? | Forum: Carrara
"a universal way to turn procedural textures into texture maps is to apply the procedural texture to a flat surface, and make a rendering of the surface. The rendered texture can then be applied as a map on different objects.... another reason to convert procedural textures into bitmaps is to move textured models between different programs." from "Digital Lighting and Rendering" y Jeremy Birn, p. 327.
If you have many procedural textures to deal with, this may not be practical. Still, no one mentioned it and it seems like a good thing to know.

You might take a look at the Render Studio Bundle (link above).Scroll down on that page and you'll see an example of mixing color with monochrome. Also includes light packages, AO manager, backdrops. Just a thought.
By the way, it's not cheap as Poser plug-ins go, but the creator provides excellent support.
Thread: Ockham's bvhMixer and Poser Pro? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Regarding bvhmixer3, the script ran and reported processing over 5,000 frames although there are only 75 frames in the bvh. The script stopped processing frames on its own accord just above 5,000. No error message appeared.
When I played the animation only certain body parts moved, though. For example, the hips down remained in the stationary zero position. However, the Figure was positioned correctly at floor level throughout.
The really exciting news is that I typed out the DropToFloor Python script as per your instructions AND IT WORKED!
The Figure Dropped to Floor throughout the entire range of 75 frames in the bvh and the animation played perfectly.
And I am giddy with a sense of accomplishment.
This little script is going to save me (and others) hours and hours of time.
Thanks, Ockham.

Does it help clarify what's going on?
Without Poser Pro to refer to, it must be frustrating and annoying for you to be bothered with this. Thanks for "flying blind" and trying to help.
Best regards.

I'm just learning about this myself, but here's what I know (I'm using Poser Pro, by the way, but I think it's the same process for Poser 6 and 7. I don't know about Poser 4 or 5):As you said, drag and drop the py file to the appropriate Python folder. (What that folder is may depend on how you want to access the script. See the attached link to some very clearly described options about that.)
The simplest way I know to open the Python script and is
a) Open a Poser scene
b) Click on File>Run Python Script
c) A browser opens. Browse to the location of the desired py file, select it, click on "Open"
When I do the above, the Python script opens.
I'm counting on others to make any necessary corrections/alterations to the above!
Hope this helps.

But when I clicked on Go the above message appeared.
Any ideas?

The idea of changing a line in one of your scripts is making my palms sweat...but here goes.
I will do my best and report back. And thanks.
