Thread: wolfpak359 questions.... | Forum: Vue
I can certainly see why your are upset about this Tidalwdave. Personally I wouldn't mind if someone done the same to me...AS LONG as they add comments as to why they have marked it so. As it is, try not to worry about it to much; your art is indeed excellent as anyone can see, but at the end of the day you always get the jealous assholes (can I say that Mike?). martin

Thread: Vue 2 and Upgrades (!) | Forum: Vue
There is quite a bit of difference between 99 and %99 Axe555 ;). I presume that there was also a special address for people to send their upgrade request to..probably the e-on address in Paris, if 3DWorld is anything to go by. martin

Thread: Scattering Objects? | Forum: Vue
Make sure that "Resize and center imported objects" is unchecked within the options. Depending on the varibles that Vue uses for the growth of each plant, the relative scales between the different species should be more accurate...well they are for me :o)

Thanks guys, for your comments. I must agree that terrain textures are really something that needs a lot of practice. Landscape ratios are something else. Vue may give you total freedom over terrain size and placement, but 9/10 I find that this is often the hardest thing to get right. Thanks again for your encouragement, and suggestions. Regards, Martin
Thread: *.vob* associations | Forum: Vue
Cheers for the replies lads. I'm running Win98SE as well Mike. You are right Mike (I'm not going mad), I was only trying to explain how the associations had been made by mentioning the clicking of the ".vob" object files. Like I say it hasn't caused any problems, it is just a little disconcerting to look in the Vue d'EspritObject folder with Explorer to find all the files being associated as movie clips. You are right Karlm, if you look on the MPEG files on a DVD they do have the ".vob extension. The reason they are associated with my DVD software is so that a DVD movie will auto-run when I insert it. I would think it's a case of what come first - the Vue ".vob" file or the DVD MPEG Codec. LOL. Cheers, martin_c
Thread: Other Great 3D Terrain Programs | Forum: Bryce
AWB - Can't really fault it, once you negotiate the learning curve and really start to experiment. WCS - Another good app, but I'm not too sure about the rendering engine, not for that money anyway. My view on Bryce (for what it's worth). For just plain good fun, it can't be beaten. I find that the more you put into it, the more it gives back. Martin
