Puff and Piddle! For a bit, I thought I'd missed something amongst all the commercials! :)

Fee? Just a nasty rumor you're trying to start, right? Or is that for folk who sell here; I knew about that one.
I like the galleries here better than any of the other sites I've seen--heck, mostly cuz they have comments in print large enough for me to read! :D but you're right, billy: If any money changes hands for our access to the site, it should be US getting paid. Let RR collect their tithe on sales; they provide a service there. But it's the COMMENTS and the INTERACTION WITH LIVE PEOPLE that keeps me coming back.
(I buy most of my stuff at, um, that other place where the, ahem, other software comes from.) :D

'Rosity is fun. Sometimes, drama is, too. So in the interest of drama, I will pose this:
I have seen art get pulled, that did NOT violate the TOS.
It can be said that opinions vary, but to me, words are your power. If you say, for example, "no nude child models" and use that as justification for pulling images of half-dressed--or even nude--adults, you have reduced the power of your words. Much of that, and you become a pathetic liar.
We live in a society that shuns pleasure, unless it's self-destructive or painful. Just look at our movies, if you need proof: It's okay to depict murder and gory battles and serial killers and vicious terrorists as heros (e.g., "Go ahead: Make my day!"), but it's not okay if Bambi kisses Thumper. (What, you never saw Bambi kiss Thumper? Exactly!) Further evidence can be found in what is referred to as "comedy": If it makes us laugh, you can bet it's because someone is hurting.
So naturally the team at Renderosity has a hard time knowing what to pull! Society is so concerned with the concept of "political correctness" that people's feelings are ignored! One whining...
Okay, I'll stop now. I have a thing for honesty, and it hurts me that the society I live in doesn't know the meaning of the word.
None of this is meant to incite riots or flames. I'm sorry if anyone is offended by it. (No, I'm not apologizing: If I was wrong, I wouldn't post it in the first place. I am empathetic, though.) My viewpoint is that of an extra-terrestrial: I'm just visiting this planet.
Thank the Goddess!
:)

Quote - Oh, I just had a thought... chubby figures ought to have jiggly bits when rendered in animation sequence. I'm sure that I've seen that sort of realism done by professional 3DCG studios for recent films. However, I don't know if there is a way to get that effect in Poser and/or DAZ Studio for that matter.Â
And, the distortions of the facial flesh when a character is punched in the face, rendered in slow motion sequence. Maybe this is a bit too challenging for my Poser 6 software !
Magnets! Or make your own morphs, or re-rig the figure.

I checked out the website--Hard to see anything amongst all the advertisements! :D and finally found the newsletter... but you have to sign up to view even a sample? Not worth my time; I've already plowed through page after page of ad-laden fluff! Grr! How about http://www.sfwa.org/writing/ ? Free access there. Or http://www.toasted-cheese.com/

This would count as "previous publication" to many print publishers, I believe, which would reduce the chance of getting the same work in print. I wonder what kind of circulation they'll get? It could bring income on works that are getting rejected for print... :)

Rats in Space... Yep, if it weren't for those whiney conservatives, we'd all be driving cars powered by rat brains, and nobody would have to go to work cuz all our jobs would be handled by little petri platters of rodent neurons... Of course, that would mean that none of us would get paid, but who would need people anymore, anyway? Except, I think the oldest profession might still have a few positions...

(My memory has failed me again: It was "One is a genius...") The movie was based on "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH" by Robert C. O'Brien, first published in 1971, I believe. I don't know if Mr. O'Brien was a rat or not... :D

The Secret of NIMH predates Pinky and the Brain; perhaps THEY were inspired by it? "One of them's a genius; the other's insane!" Since megalomania is insanity, Pinky must be the genius. :D

Flowers for Algernon. Humans generally aren't capable of recognizing--or respecting--non-human intelligence. Or HUMAN intelligence, for that matter, as history and current events clearly show.
