I just found this out on the daz forum. I am deeply devastated. I knew her for 10 years and tho we never met personally she was my dearest friend. We emailed almost every day and I was wondering why she didn't reply to my last one. I thought she was on vacation. What could have happened? She was young and she never mentioned any sickness. I am devastated. She was full of life and so friendly and loving. The Many kisses and Love ya's in her mails always made me smile even when I was sad. My deepest condolences to her mom. Joanna will be always remembered and missed.

Yeah eventually I figured it out by pressing every button I saw. Thank god the new Unseelie set works fine in DS. Thanks for the help :)

Thank you for the help! Okay I deleted previous resaved hairs and started all over again. This time they work Oo They all got the morphs. YAY :D I just have 1 question. How do I resave the presets? Presets load the cap and 5 other hair pieces but I have no clue how to select more than 1 item in poser.

@Kazam
Thank you for helping me :)
I've tried the method in that article but when I export as a CR2 it asks for a skeleton item. There is no such thing in the hair that I can select so I selected Vicky and it exported her instead of the hair. When I loaded the resaved hair a broken Vicky was there but no hair at all.

@Jules Its not the duf file. The hair loads like any other poser hair, but the morph sliders dont work. The hair is static.
@Biscuit Hi there :) I really want to solve this cuz I love your hairs.
Seems like quote doesn't work properly Oo

From DS you can export the clothed G3/V7 etc as OBJ and import into poser. Then you can add props etc to your scene and render. OFC the figure will be static and you have to play around with the materials but once you got it right just save it. Or use EZSkin on her. I use both programs and have the best of 2 worlds.

Who knows, maybe they might change their minds now that SM is distributing their version of it.
I'm thinking along the same lines.
I've been quiet during this whole thing, I'm just a lowly DAZ studio user with no real horse in the race. But I keep hoping to God, Poser users get a truly usable new figure they can enjoy. **Then maybe DAZ would stop being seen as the evil empire and DAZ Studio users as mindless minions. ** I have nothing but respect for most Poser users and see many great renders from that side. However, not one render of the new Poser figures shows any real promise in my eyes.
Thats only on the forums. I know loads of poser users, even some vendors and they dont give a dime what program I render in.
Well I'm not upgrading my poser this time. I dont use it anymore so...Instead I picked up M7 pro and he rocks!!

... you'll hate me for pointing them out, but you'll try not to make then again :-)
Nah I dont hate you :) I'm never going for realism, I like my fairies too much for that and I have a camera if I want photoreal. I'm just having fun rendering :)

@chaecuna
Sorry, my bad, I though you were all drunk, and for what it's worth, the Vickie looks nowhere near real and no better than could have been achieved with the previous one, or the one before that etc.
- The shiny black band is low-poly, and gives the game away.
- The eyes look flat, and give the game away.
- The skin shading looks nothing like real skin, and gives the game away.
- The stray hairs around the hairline are too thick, and give the game away.
- The whisp of hair behind her ear is too repetitive between strands to look natural, and gives the game away.
I hope that was "serious" enough for you, and that you might learn something from it.
Feel free to pass it on to your friends on the DAZ forum, it might help to lessen their superiority complex for them.LMFAO
Well sorry, its my second render with iray and I'm still learning :)

I dont have the set otherwise I would load it and try to help you more. Try turning the windows into light emitters (surface/emission)and replace the DS lights with a primitive sphere and make those emitters too.

And dont forget to turn off the Headlamp in camera parameters.
Candle light should be easy. Just convert the flame or whatever material to uber shader and play around with the emission.
If you use spotlight make sure its in photometric mode, its in the light's parameters. You can turn any primitive to light too in surfaces/emission.

Thread: Reality Render thread. A new beginning. | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Hi :) I didnt post in a loooong time. I dont even render anymore.
I got Paolo's email yesterday about Reality 3. TBH I dont use poser since Reality 1 came out. I'm not dissing firefly, its a great renderer, I just like how Lux renders better. And I'm not giving up on all my tools in DS either (autofit, polygon selecting tool). Still, I bought R3 because I'm curious how it works and well, I like Paolo lol He's always very helpful and his products are top notch.
I will definitely try poser with this plugin, but I'm waiting for DS version of R3.
Great job Paolo and I wish many sales :)
BTW what happened to the reality threads on the daz forum? I cant find them.

no postwork. I use crf's and play with gamma and color space until it looks how I like it. And lots of meshlights with colorful textures on them. And vignetting.
Cheers and Merry Xmas to all. On my way to the big family party :D
