In Dynamics - start with your figure scale at X=90% and z= 90% at the end of the simulation make sure the scales are back to normal (100%) this forces the "fabric" to stretch Never fails for me
Thread: GPU and Poser 11 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
A lot of false information here- Superfly is a port of the cycles rendering engine- and they, at the moment, have not updated their CUDA code to iinclude the RTX/Turing based cards. Nothing to do with Renderosity and poser development staff. When Cyles updates than I would imagine the poser team will do the same. AMD cards do not support CUDA( which is Nvidia based) so if using AMD GPU's it would make sense to pair it woth an AMD XEN 2 processor and use the multicore CPU approach that Cycles and Superfly can also use. I find using CUDA in 11.2 is very quick and even with a middle range 1070ti is more than capable of using JURA's superfly presets.

Windows 10 beta tester running on fractal define 3 with Asus X99 workstation 32 Gb ram. Poser pro 2014 with no problem since midlle builds.
Update (if you do it properly ) is faultless - if you have any worries use windows backup and restore. in the Released version of windows 10 there is a facility to roll back windows 10 to 7 but nuking the drive and then doing a restore from a system image will do the trick. make sure you have an emergency disk.
Poser is roughly the same rendering speed with firefly Runtimes and poser is slightly faster ( roughly the same as windows 8.1)
Windows 10 does need tuning to get rid of all the privacy tabs and stuff - there are good tuning guides on the web for this. you can fiddle with the update settings in Win 10 pro to give you some control.Ive found it pretty stable and a worthwhile upgrade.

Thread: POSER 8 - to get or not to get | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My two penny worth
I have Poser Pro- on Vista 64bit (intel i7 and 12 Gb Ram)- networked to a couple of other machines for rendering
Poser 8 - like the GUI - although a bit busy
Like the indirect lighting still playing with it to get the feel of it however
Linked my main external runtime with no problems and loaded saved poser pro scenes into P8 with very little problem
I find that renders from Poser 8 (32 bit) are a good deal slower than the 64 bit firefly (mainly because of the memory handling)
I''ll probably still use Poser Pro as my main tool and use P8 as a training aid for the future Poser Pro next year.

OperaGuy - grow up - other grown up people have a right to have their say. This is entirely relevant to the poser forum, as it is a major release of the software. Other software forums also have members that give their opinion of price differentials so I cannot see how this forum is any different. I am in the UK saw the price - felt that the upgrade price was - not too bad - and upgraded. I was however delighted that Digital River and CL paid my 15% VAT for me. Dr Paul Cooper
Thread: Anyone else still having P6 Pre-order Problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
No Problem this time Even cut and pasted the serial number into the box... All went OK this morning (GMT) had an email saying they were knocking off 15% of the upgrade price. Not bad narsil
Thread: More Poser 6 news! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ditto UK serial number rejected - even checked with new challenge to see if Serial number was valid (it was) narsil
Thread: P6 pre-order 'invalid serial no.' Anyone else getting this? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Same Probelm here as well. Have even gone to the trouble of re-entering challenge/response codes etc - still no result... registered Poser user since Poser 3.... Checked the serial number was correct by asking for an additional challenge code that worked too. Not sure what is going on - I have IM'd Katherine at CL and am badgering the customer support to get some answers... Narsil

Thread: Poser 4 (Poser Artist) or Poser 5? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You Have P5 Do you Jackson, put all the service releases in and so on? The reason why P4 renderer is faster is that it is only half a renderer not a proper one(most software ray tracers are slow) good for fun not for proper stuff
Thread: Poser 4 (Poser Artist) or Poser 5? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I back C1rcle and Stewer. Once bitten by the material room and dynamic clothing... I opened P4 the other day (brushinfg the virtual cobwebs from it. It annoyed me - a lot. So clunky and archaic. Perhaps I'm just used to P5 now -and it is a long learning process- but I would never go back to p4 PaulC
