I was a professional musician throughout the majority of the 80's and early 90's. Ya know, the "me" generation! Lemme tell ya, I saw the most bizarre human(?) behaviour at the concerts we played both onstage and offstage! And the things that "well meaning" promoters organize for the bands....oh, my!! Now that I'm much older and wiser (heh, yeah, right) I look back on those days and am amazed that I'm not dead!!

Syyd: I've been an amateur astronomre for many years. Maybe I can help. The important thing to consider is where you plan on using the telescope. This will help determine how much light gathering you need. A 10" (reflector area) scope will be great in a very dark location but will pull in too much ambient light in the city. A newtonian/reflecting telescope is a good buy because it's a simple design and not terribly expensive. You will want one with a 1.25" focuser and not .965". This will give you a much greater variety of eye pieces to choose from and is the amateur standard. A great web site for information and products is www.telescope.com. This is the Orion site and they have just about everything for the amateur astronomer. Good luck! Feel free to contact me if you'd like some additional info. Nick

I was going to comment on that as well. Although it's a neat effect, I think, in this context, it distracts from the shot as a whole. I would keep it strictly B&W IMHO. Nick

No apologies needed! My whole purpose is to try and create a piece that makes people think about more than, "Oh, nice boobs!" If the image has given you something to think about and mull over, if even for a couple minutes, it's been a success! I appreciate the responses and the honest opinions. That's why I come here! (Well, that and the fact that everyone is just so darn good lookin'!) Cheers! Nick

Thanks for the replies. Originally, the print was full color. I desaturated it in Photoshop and then applied a color layer. The concept of this series is to create that "out of place" feeling. Nudity without overt sexuality. Juxtaposition of things that may or may not be related. A touch of the surreal without depicting floating ocean layers or whatever.
