Friday, August 13, 1999 is what Renderosity has on file, but I joined Willow's Poser Fourm "The Old Renderosity" back in 1997 I do believe. Everything here was FREE and Poser 3.0 was owned by Metacreations. Unlike most people here I liked Willow & Grey and hope that I can chat with them again someday soon. Graphics Software has came along way since the early days of 3D Fractal "1991" when I started working with this stuff. Glad to see the younger folks taking interest in 3D Graphics. A ton of great artist out there. -=Nomad=-

Thread: No Poser 5 fix yet, but New software from CL... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Curious Labs reminds me of Excalibur BBS. "I used to run a BBS many years ago". They sell working Beta's of software hoping the "testers" will able them to pull up on this product. I lost many users when I switched ovet to Excalibur BBS from my triBBS system. I guess from all the stuff I am reading here it is maybe a good idea to wait until the Curious Labs Poser 5.0B is finished before I buy it? I am pretty happy with my Metacreations Poser 4.0 without all the other problems I read about all the time.

I personally would like to see some outdoor gear for P4 Male, or Mike. i.e. A trapper as in grizzly coated bear skin cloths, or even a coon skin cap? Early frontier type clothing and props. Buckskin etc...Yep... and maybe some more native american stuff. -=Nomad=-
Thread: Problem with Poser on NT 4.0 -- Can anyone help? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi there. Yes I have ran Poser on NT 4.0 but never had that error message. Did you install the service packs? I believe the last release I had was nt service pack 4.08 1998? If you are thinking about moving to a new operating system and you have a Pentium III with at lease 256MB RAM I highly recommend Win2K If you have a Pentium III with a 500mhz or better then get XP it is fantastic for graphics work. My system I have a Pentium III 550e mhz coppermine with 512k front side bus "256 sux" 640mb SD 133mhz RAM and a Maxtor Ultra-133 40GB 7200 hard drive. AGP graphics card i.e. ATI with 64MB V RAM. Windows XP Pro OS.This system loads Poser very fast amd I have NEVER had a crash with Poser. cheers!

Thanks for the comments. Really the credit goes to Mab. She reworked The Zygote "Daz" Mike 1. I used a combination of the free 1999 Santa Mike give-a-way and Mab's Santa "which requires additional Daz or other vender models to work" and the results as you can see are fantastic. The Santa coat is part of the Zygote model but the texture on the coat & hat are something I did in Photoshop 6 with the help of Alien's Eye Candy 3.1. Mab did the morph work on Santa and a very impressive texture map for santa. Oh, and She also went to the extent of making a texture map of "Long Johns" Santa's Undies LOL. The beard is a fantastic model and contains the needed transmap. I believe you can still download this wonderful model from Mab. Watermark your images always. Also keep up with US and international copyright laws. I know all too well what it is like to find my work on someone elses web site. Also conceder displaying your images in a java app or flash app to disable right clicking or the File|SaveAS. Pesonally I display low rez graphics with my company logo screened onto each graphic. That way if someone takes them so be it. Free advertisment. If you become a business then save your high rez images for your clients. Bottom line: If you are allowing access to your galleries which house work you have spent so much time and hard work into... don't forget to lock the back doors :-) winks
