Mine was a bit bizarre.
I set up my Poser 6 Runtime easily and all was working fine until - I use mainly P4 figures and all of them always worked well with simply Basic Hands in using Poser 6, but as soon as I tried one here, the figure vanished - A box said something about wrong vertices or some such but it definitely worked in 6. The figure still was listed as being active but there were no parameter dials for any part and the whole figure was invisible. I do like the compression for file sizes, but since the rest of the P7 features are not of that much interest right now, I don't see the point of bumping into another obstacle. I also had some minor things with the initial version of P6 but they were attended to in time so I'll wait.
Thread: your steps to creating a Scene? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Out of curiosity, do most people use Poser as a single sheet and do all the work there. Hoping not to sound too basic, but you can create separate pages with the Animator - much like adding Sheets in Excel - and have totally separate conditions to create a story. I usually go 10 to 25 pages. Even without a story, you can easily copy Page 1 to 2 and change all of the elements without disturbing 1 to check different render conditions, and the number of pages is really unlimited. I've had as many as 100 if only to store unused or test scenes. From this standpoint the original story line is created with the basic textures and attire and then it develops - Pages can be shuffled about so that adding in front or between scenes is easy. This all may be obvious but I've not really heard it mentioned.

The most important seem to be Obj files. Some go into Geometries + some sub-directory and some into a specific Morph directory. If Poser cannot find these when you open a character of file, Poser locks up something awful. If Poser cannot find some other file, it's no big deal, but make sure these Obj file locations are correct.
Thread: Any future for posette???? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I use only Posette and today there are a lot of variations and incredible morphs (huge face morphs). Great on memory and disk space, too. I downloaded the Posette 2003 and when I used the Mover I get a box -- File Access Denied, so I can't create the .obj file to see this. Probably great. Jim Burton is already a Poser Legend, in my opinion.

What really makes a picture like this is expression -- Look at some Norman Rockwell books, and you'll see a story in every face. And Poser offers a lot of varieties.

It has much potential, but aside from the alluded fix -- For this pose, the middle thingy should be flapping, and better formed around her leg -- she could use a more interesting expression (mock anger?) in her eyes and eyebrows.
In all of the galleries and other postings I've viewed (and most are truly spectacular), the most common element that's ignored is the vast range of emotions that even the simplest Posette can display. Posettes should have life, and show it.
