I just got my copy of Vue yesterday and am loving it. Importing Poser is soooooo easy it's not even funny. The only problem is sleeping. I'm not sure when to do that anymore. If you have the money to get this software, get it. It's worth it.

Steve, I'm terribly sorry to hear that bad news! Thanks for all the hard work, it certainly has been appreciated by all here. Seems like a rotten day, but hopefully it can just be a new beginning with new opportunities and renewed success. Best of luck to you and your family. -Oak

You could accomplish this through registered versions of Poser 4 (or Pro Pack) and Vue. Check out www.e-onsoftware.com for more information on Vue and integrating it with Poser.

I had the same problem with Poser 4. I deleted the blmilwom_v3.rsr file (I think it is that...I know it was an .rsr file) and now it seems to work fine. I don't know if that will work for you, though...but it might be worth trying. I can't help you with Poser 5. Hang in there, she's awesome!

I think it's totally worth it...I've already saved money, and purchasing their products for $2 a pop is waaaayyy too easy.

Daz is having some problems right now. I tried to order from them on Wednesday and was unable to do so. They said they'd e-mail me when things were working again; I have yet to hear from them. Hopefully they will have it all straightened out soon because it's not good when you're running a business and aren't allowing people to spend money there.
Thread: Sound effects for animation? | Forum: Animation
Check out sounddogs.com. Their CD's are awfully expensive, but they do have professional sounds (from fox, warner brothers, lucasfilm, etc.) available for individual purchase (you can listen to real audio first, I think). If anybody has other good sites, I would be interested in those, too.

All this concern over a scratched CD is kind of funny. How many of you have scratched CD's? Let's see a show of hands? Now, I'll admit that 3d is a hobby of mine and not a profession, but I am in real estate and use a variety of software that requires the CD's, which I've been changing and changing over and over and I've never had a problem. They have to protect themselves; you can't trust a consumer. Look at what mp3 has become--anybody can download any song and the artist, the one doing all the work, is hurt. If this policy does put Lipsinc out of business, like some of you suggest, that would really stink because I just got the software and like the way it works. And if you do have a problem with a lot of scratched CD's, I suggest buying a CD repair kit.
Thread: Copy protect of CD | Forum: Animation
Annoying as it is, that feature is probably keeping the cost down. Think of how high the price would be if for every 1 copy sold there were 4 or 5 pirated CD's out there. Their policy may stink, but how many CD's have broken on you? They also sell CD repair kits that work pretty well incase it really does get scratched and you costs about $30 or so and will fix hundreds of CD's. So if the issue is only about their method of copy protection, then I agree and there are better ways. My real question is, how does the software run? Does it give you a good lip syncing?
