I want to thank everybody who contributed to this thread. Thanks to your pointers, I now know that it can be done, and it can be done inside Poser. Maybe it won't be as fast and easy as I first thought, but the results are there and, boy, they sure look great.

Interesting. From a practical point of view, does that mean scenes will render faster if I don't use AO lights with AO shaders? That is what I understand if my computer doesn't have to calclulate shadows twice.

Blaufeld (or someone else), can you tell me where to get CC 2.2? I got a notification for the 2.1 upgrade a few months ago but nothing for 2.2 and at Daz they seem to have only 2.0. Thanx

Have you tried Edit/General Preferences/Misc and uncheck 'Use external binary morph targets'?
