Hey Scott, thanks a bunch. I downloaded the tutorial last night and within half an hour I had my posable horse tail prop. My version of P4 is streight from the factory with no patches installed. Sure wish you had written the Poser manual, sure would have saved a lot of hair pulling, really don't have that much to spare. Ralph

For me at least what Anthony Appleyard wrote may as well have been in Chinese. Simple task depends on your level of expertise, for a beginer seperating the tail is not simple but rather turns into a daunting task. I have also found that many areas of the Poser manual are about as clear as mud. Ralph

Thread: Poser4 re-install question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You should be able to reinstall over the original install. Your files which you installed should sti;ll be there. The reinstall will just overwrite the original poser files. If that dosen't cure the problem you will have to go the uninstsall route in which case you will probably lose your other files you installed. Ralph
Thread: I need a horse tail!! Zygote Demon + horse tail =Satyr | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hey Anson, if the goat tail you did is posted somewhere I'd like a copy. I have a ancient Greek coin in my collection which depicts a satyr carrying off a nymph. The art work on the coin is really quite extraordinary, considering that the dies used to punch the coin were engraved by hand around 500BC. I've been toying with the idea of doing the figure in poser. Ralph

Hey, Thanks for all the ideas, guys, gals, But about the tail. Anson I spent a couple hours on the net today researching Greek Mythology and every site I could find about satyrs and every reference I found said satyr have goat lower half with horses tails and horse ears. Most of the graphisc I saw also had long flowing horse tails. A couple of sites also said that sometimes the satyrs were depicted with a horse lower half,Also saw a couple with goat tails. Guess they came in several flavors. So I went with horse tail since most were depicted that way. Ralph

Uhh, beg to differ, birds fly, have feet, butterflys fly, have feet, bats fly, have feet, etc, etc, all things which fly eventually land, ergo necessity for feet. :) Ralph

Great image! I agree with sewerRaton about the demon things, add some transparency to the darkest blue part, and have it perhaps iluminate the scene with a pale blue cast. BTW how did you do the demons? Ralph
