Been using for about 8 hours... not impressed... all hype and little substance so far and much slower than Pro 14... the comic mode is really far from comic but the lines are nice but limited... the super fly render engine is hit and miss... still digging into it... but so far not worth the upgrade price and still no DAZ content support sadly :(
Thread: Genesis in Poser without DSON | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I really want the sasquatch figure for freak 5 at daz and the super suit... but without the hair option he looks stupid and the DSON imported crashed poser twice for me and had to start over:( Plus the super suit doesn't work with the dang importer anyway:( Now using Pro2014 and it's fairly stable... DAZ just isn't getting my bucks anymore and I'm sticking with V&M4! Genesis isn't worth the effort! I think DAZ should drop their own software or create both a poser and studio version for all their content! I use to spend about a 100 bucks a month at DAZ, now less then a 100 a year:( Just my buck 50 worth on the subject:)

What about using all the DAZ Genesis stuff... I never got their DSON Loader to work right with Pro 2012, crashed my program twice:( And I'd love to use their super suit and some other content which the loader didn't suport! Any word how compatable it will be with the DAZ stuff... I'm there just for the comic mode and cloths stuff! I've brought every version since 1 so why should this one be different!

My last comment was removed from this forum, and it was a polite reply to the above comment and seeming personal slam against me because I disagree with some others here! Since that is the way the forums are working I will refrain from any further discussion here!

Just don't use Vue 8, poser shaders don't work right at all... V4 figures are always green:( Vue 8 sucks actually, stick with Vue 6I... that product rocks!
Thread: Vue 8 new build 47776 | Forum: Vue
Been searching especially the Vue site, nothing that helps with Vue 8, and like I said it's not just the skin issues... it's how slow it runs, uses memory and several issues since the patch... the green skin just really bugs me! And I've been working on fixes for 2 weeks! Glad my Vue 6I still works under windows 7, they even have a new patch for 6I but it says do not use with windows 7... could cause system damage! I'm about done with this "Upgrade" really frustrating becuase in the past I've been able to solve most software issues on my own... and now this! Venting more then anything now... probably should just stop following this thread altogether and wait and see what happens with this software:)

I appreciate the sugesstion, but I guess I will not get my point across... Vue 8 is buggy as hell and inferior to V4-6 and 6I, a major step backwards if you want poser compatibility which it promises! And FYI I made sure there was no "Green" in the poser shaders the first dosen trys... still renders anything using advance poser shaders green... like I said I'm very experienced using the 2 programs together, published 8 comics with these software packages and have created content for both! The 1st release worked with shaders turned off, but when on... yuck! Also that doesn't help with it being as slow as xmas now when trying to move a single poser figure and buggy with a new graphics card they they say it supports, and did until the upgrade! I just think they rushed Vue 7&8 and delivered crappy software and worse support... should have waited for the bugs to get ironed out before buying... here's hoping they can fix it so I didn't waste all that money... and they loose me as a customer! I buy a lot of software from them and cornicopia!

Applied the new update... and in all but one area it made things a lot worse:( Only thing better is that Vue 8 isn't crashing like it did, but poser figures still render green, response when moving objects slows to a crawl... and I have a 3.02 I7 quad processor and 12 gigs ddr3 ram, and it doesn't like my video card now:( I use to brag on Vue, was the best 3d application going... but so far 8 has left me very disappointed:( Man what a waste of money, time and effort with this version, and I still say their new policies and service has declined greatly... IMHO! Maybe the next patch will work.... until then I'm sticking with 6I... a fantastic software!

First time it has ever happened for me with 4 versions prior to Vue 8, which also crashed all the time! Went back to Vue 6I and will wait to see if a patch fixes all the problems with Vue 8, hopefully I didn't waste my money! So far it seams all related to the poser shaders, when turned off Vue 8 renders like previous versions with the poser shaders turned off, but it just won't use the shaders like earlier versions... one of the reason I use Vue for! And still the 47776 build is not available for everyone???

Some of the tweaked Vue I like better in this image, but some diff not! I usually get great results just using very specific lighting with light tune for my taste! But again my point is not about "Tweaking" it's about that Vue 8 doesn't perform as advertised and doesn't perform as well as Vue 4-6 and 6I! Why should I pay for something that is supposed to be better when it is clearly 4 steps backwards! Seems only estherau and JCD gets my point with this post... I give up.

Has done it with any model that uses the advance skin shaders... works ok with older models like V3 and M3? And I have used update V4.2 and new textures? Point is I should not have to work backwards when upgrading at a high price! I know a work around, but I want to render the way I normally do, especially when I pay for it to work the way they claim! What really ticked me off was their lame reply... if they said they were working to fix it... I would have waited! Will never buy a new upgrade from them again! May wait until it's time for the newer version and buy cheap after the bugs are fixed! I only upgraded to V8 and P8 for better windows 7 compatibility actually! So it's back to Vue 6I and Poser 7, and poser 8 for strictly poser renders:(
