Hello! first off, I'd like to thank the customer who forwarded this thread to us.

Pack (patrick!), I'm fantastically glad that someone forwarded this thread to us. The e-mail entered in the order (@sbcglobal) has been bouncing the e-mails, both for sales, and service.
Let's get this fixed! I wouldn't want to post the serial number here :), so maybe an alternative mail account that we can send to?
is it possible to create a mail account through yahoo (or any similar webmail like that or hotmail), and then e-mail us at service@reiss-studio.com through that e-mail? this way we can forward the serial number through that mail service.

Popeye! if there's a message from december without a response, it could definitely be a similar issue to pack. is there a yahoo, hotmail, or similar account that could be used to contact us?

Penguinisto! I know we've answered a few questions about viz, but the answer is that we havn't tested it with viz yet. If you want, send another message to service, let us know that it's you! and I'll set you up with a trial version so we can see if it works w/ viz.

Hey guys! I should have chimed in sooner :) Sounds like a lot of people are asking "why BodyStudio over Propack." It's a good question and deserves an answer! There are a few reasons, the first is Max 5/Poser 5 compatibility (and the upcoming Max 6 version). Second is Stability! as most of the people who use the propack plugin know, there are some issues with compatability with the old plugin. We've done over a year of fixes to the loading code, and BodyStudio is significantly stabler than the old code, and currently loads every poser file we've encountered. As people who have used the old plugin will testify, it can be hit or miss. Lastly, we've added support for the hair and dynamic cloth, and also we'll be supporting more features in the future! cheers! -Josh (ps, as to users testimonials, there's a number of them on the site, just do a search, also as mentioned there's the 3dworld article where we scored very highly!)

Hey! the hair is fully available to all of our customers :) they just need to make sure by contacting service@reiss-studio that they are set up through download through our site (sometimes when purchased through other sites, it's a slightly older download) cheers! -Josh

Hah! ok, I know what the problem is... when you put the smooth on, you're getting our reduced display geom, so it's not showing correctly. We should have a fix for this shortly :)

Cool on the renders! we'll take a look at the smooth modifier here, I bet I know what it's doing. we can see if we can make the modifications to have it work! cheers, -J

There's also BodyStudio for 3ds max, if you do a search for bodystudio here you'll find a lot of good users comments. It's the official Plugin using the poser SDK, and it will also open a .pz3 file directly instead of needing to export a series of .obj's from poser. cheers! -Josh

hi milla! we're not talking about the hair inside p5 here (as seen in render from message 16, which is bright) we're talking about the hair which is translated into max throught the bodystudio plugin. Render from message 20 shows that, and in max it's integrated with the color of the scene, using the same lights. cheers! -Josh

Hi Toolstech! for the curveness of the hair, have you tried adding a "smooth mesh" modifier in max? We didn't want to put the overhead on all the hairs automatically, but I'd love to see if this handles the issue when you get close. cheers! -Josh
