I agree the processor or number of them is more important after a certain amount of memory. If you plan to link (live link) Poser 8 or Pro 2010, you will need more than 8 GB for sure. This gets to be a huge task for both processor and memory even with only one figure. It does work nicely however.
Thread: Questions about Poser 6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As a Mac user I might inject that at least w/ G-4, 1.25GHZ, 1 GB RAM running OS-X 10.4.1, I am far from impressed with Poser-6 verses P4 PP. My new P6 copy freezes as soon as I try to save anything. Several menus don't work at all. I have reinstalled 3 times with both SR-1 and Content fixes to no avail. So far no comment on my eamil to e-Frontier.
Thread: ".obj" files into Carrara | Forum: Carrara
Just to add further confusion to the issue; if you are using Poser Pro Pack as opposed to 4.0.3 then you are up against another bug. The Mac version of PPP chocks on obj files. You need to actually install 4.0.3 on a separate partion or drive, import your obj files, save them out and then paste them over into PPP. This little bug may be getting you on the export side too.

I'm a lot happier too. I was having a lot of crash problems in the render and modelling windows. That seems to be fixed now. (Fingers crossed) rfrew

I am running a 300MHz G-3 with 128K of memory. I have allocated about as much memory as I can.
