I just got a reply from techsupport@e-frontier regarding my problems with the Walk Designer. In summary, the response was that Poser7 doesn't support third party figures, like Victoria3, in the Walk Designer at this time.

When using the Walk Designer, the hip doesn't hold any of the morphs I'm using. Therefore, the hip looks "normal" when the rest of the figure is slimmer, fatter, etc.
Also, moving any of the dials, morph or not, that pertain to the hip have no effect at all.
Also, the Joint Editor will not zero the figure. There is no way I can adjust any of the positions of anybody part (scale works - bend, twist, etc, do not) (please remember, nothing works on the hip at all). In other words, once I use the Walk Designer, I have to reload the figure if I want to change anything at all.
I can't believe this would be a system-wide bug. It probably has to do with something in my figure. I'm using V3 (both regular and SR2). All of these symptoms occur using the un-altered SR2 (right out of the box). Removing the IK has no effect.

You can also search on my user name in the free section. There's only one match which contains a Python script that works well with any PC version of Poser. If you have any questions on how to use it, just email me.

It works on the figure on the screen. I considered working on files on the drive, but I like to look at the result before saving. I suppose I could have saved the file with a slightly altered name. It works on both valueParm and targetGeom and having a setting equal to zero. I've provided for skipping morphs that might be used to make walks and other movements a bit more realistic, even though they might be currently set to zero.

I wrote one a while back. It REMOVES them, not just hides. I'm at work now so I'll have to get it to you tomorrow or Friday. Since I hadn't planned on selling it, it's a bit rough in areas, but it works.

This is getting hard for me to understand. I've tried every solution here, to no avail. Yes, the dates are right. I've also noticed there seems to be no way to use extra "blends" that I've aquired and used very sucessfully before, such as V2 Runway. That means, even if I get it to work, I've taken a large step backwards. The biggest confusion is that it seems there was no alpha done on this release. Either that or no one thought to come up with a solution before releasing it. I must be odd, but if my car was recalled, but I couldn't use the windows after it was "fixed," I don't think I'd call that proper attention to detail.

I forgot one small point, sorry. I have started to load the picture into a graphics package, like JASC. There I add text over the picture. I add "PZ" if the model has poses, "LT" if it came with lighting presets, etc. In this way, I know to go looking for props, extra makeup, or anything else. Just a thought.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems a long way to go when there's a very simple solution. Render to a separate window. Use 90 by 90 if you want to stay with the Poser standard. I use 120 by 120 and have had no problems and I can see more of the detail. Save to the same folder as your model. Save the picute as a .png with the same prefix (before the ".") as your model. The next time you open that directory in the libraries area, you'll see it. Issues: You will probably be overwriting the thumbnail made by Poser when you saved the model. If you save the model and then immediately make the thumbnail, the "Save As" directory will be the one you want. I wrote a little Python script that sets the render options, including the window size. It doesn't save a lot of keystrokes, but I'm a programmer. I had to write it.
Thread: V2 to V3 converter | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have been working on a V3 model using a converted texture. My best guess at this point is that the V2 eyebrow maps pointed to the same place on a texture that the eyebrows would normally exist. Look at any model where we can change eyebrow color. However, it seems (from the transparency maps from DAZ) that the V3 eyebrow maps come from a completely different area. This is only true if "BrowsGone" is not set to 1. Certainly, this is no fault of the converter, but if I choose "head," it simply maps the replacement eyebrow to the wrong area (for V3). If I choose "transparency," the wrong portion of the V2 texture gets mapped to the right area for an eyebrow. I've tried simply moving an eyebrow to the transparency location, but the angles are wrong (I think). I know I can paste the eyebrows on the base texture, but I was interested in avoiding that. The model I'm trying to use has no default eyebrow. Each character must use a different texture (picture) for the eyebrows. This flexibility was one of the things I liked about it. I didn't have to store multiple pictures to mix and match makeup and eyebrows. If anyone has a solution, I'd be very appreciative. P.S. Is there any chance that the converter will be expanded to make use of P4 textures?

Thanks, Jim!! I use both things you mention (scaling and leg stretch). It's good to at least know where the problem lies. Then I can find the solution -at least that's what I tell my students.
Thread: WALK DESIGNER - Old question lost answer | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There are three methods I know of: A python script (search the free area for "heels") A few separate pose (pz2) files. I've not had much success with these. A redesigned "Walk Designer" from Nerd. I heard that the Walk Designer that comes with Poser was created for Poser 3, before we got so many complex figures. I purchased Nerd's version and it performs very well! It goes beyond the limited number of built in walks and seems to handle most of what I've thrown at it, including heels. Best of Luck
