i just zipped the pz3 file. i used winzip, i just did the right click-it zipping and when it was done the file was 4 meg.

pardon a code newbie question but since i can open the pz3 in notepad, can i then save it as a txt file that you can look at in text form? i mean since you would only be able to look at the text anyways, and this would make it a MUCH smaller file. then if you have to change anything i can just paste it into the pz3 file on my 'puter. right? =/ maybe? lol

all of the paths lead to the correct items. I have used Vickie 2 with and edited Daz Grecian dress, Grecian Braid hair, a Butterfly from the CMS set and RuntimeDNAs backdrop renderaid. Everything is listed except for the renderaid. All of the other items where linked correctly. I zipped the file and it comes up to 4 meg (without the textures included) =/ If I were to upload it to my server for you to download would that help?

to do list: change poser.rsr to read-only - CHECK open pz3 file in notepad - CHECK (tho i have no idea what i am looking for) What am I trying to verify in the PZ3 file? I have done some small bits of coding for Poser such as mat poses, model creation, etc, but there was just way too much info in this file and I didn't wanna make it an ever bigger mess but touching any of it. Are you sure its no trouble to look the file over for me mac?

i guess im most confused by how Everything in the scene has disappreared on me. The props, vickie, her clothes, the lights, everything thing. It even resizes my work space window into a tiny (450x450) square in the center of the screen. i tried the rsr deletion but it didn't work either =/ thank you tho, mac.

=( i just tried to import the file, thank you for the suggestion but it didn't work. when i open the original file is says No Figure at the bottom where you select your models. And it says the same when I import the file.

what would be the best material to apply? the white seems to show up the best but thats not the look i was going for. i wanted it to be more of a black background, black 3d item and light streaming from behind it toward the viewer, or towards the ground. maybe like a paused version of that flash technique called Ray of Light.

I have had problems with the tat not looking as sharp on my figure after it has been rendered. =( they sometimes end up muted and slightly blurry like an old tat that's faded. not quite the look i wanted, lol.

alrighty i've figured it out, it wasn't the lights but thank you for the suggestion. i'll remember to keep my eye on that from now on. the "seam" isn't really a seam it's part of the backgound. the swatch is from my PSD after I had started to apply postwork to other area of the image. thanks for helping!

Thank you for the tip Rena :) And thank you Paranoid! It was the cr2 file pointing to the incorrect location of the obj file. It was very simple to just open the file and change it to where I wanted the file to be. Now it works just fine! Gotta remember this later, lol.
