thanks so very much for both answers. it seems this might be possible after all. but, 
i am not sure how do you do things such as :

1. applying image to the figure's texture
2. apply image to the transparency
   or
3. do a transmap on the body and head and write things.

i will try to read about how to do that - but if you have any quick tips i would be very happy to read them... :-)

I was also thinking about the mihai hair. Do you know if there is something similar enough that has morphing capabilities? Also, if someone knows about where can I find the glasses it would help. The most important part would still probably be how to build this character using michael 3. Any suggestions?

Thanks Carolly, The flanel shirt is the first one I met that even resembles the actor's shirt. Do you know if it is possible to change such a shirt's texture to get bigger and brown green stripes like the actor's shirt? Eran.

thanks for the advice. personally, i find it very helpful to work with IK and the editing tools for creating animation with characters. it is in a way a bit more surprising, but quite fast and can be fixed with the controlers. could it be that the Charger doesn't have IK capabilities? it is grey on the screen - as in: this won't work. eran.

where can i see the difference between the hires and lowres charac.? i need them to look good for the film (video Pal) i'm working on.

Your advice is great and it is also heart warming to see how much passion and togetherness is in the poser community. to answer the question about what do we use here, well, we use mostly after fx and photoshop. We also use other software occasionally, such as editing software like final cut pro or premiere, and recently we got digital fusion and aura - but we still have to learn to use them.
