**I would like to be able to make meshes impenetrable, e.g. a glass above a table could only move down until it hits the table... the table would not allow the glass to pass into or through it and vice versa. ** Isn't it like the cloth thingy and softbody system? or u mean by deflection? Anyway... i ilke the way Blender is right now, the save option should not have change because it is better this way and the window saving system (with respect) sucks... i mean i like the blender system better than the windows save system it's more controllable if u notice and make us know when to make a necessary changes. **Maybe in the 2.50 the developers should think seriously on making the manual and tutorial for people who don't have so much time to studying and picking tutorial from many different sites.**Thread: learning blender | Forum: Blender

Lucky me, my first experience in using a 3d software was with mr. Blender here, so you can say that i'm learning from real zero than all you guys. But one plus point is that i never found the problem that you guys found. I completely virgin and the first thing i learn in using Blender is select using right mouse key and use the other hand that not holding mouse for keyboard. I don't know the problem with left handed person because i'm right handed, but i guess the most principal thing in using Blender is to use both of ur hand. I've got so many tutorial which i agree with u that those were not made for someone who want to have a quick learning, but hey... Blender is an open source so all the tutorials are made not by one team but by many individual person which has different experience in using Blender. For those i'm gratefull, coz i can get so many knowledge. Anyway i got some tutorial in PDF which i collect and edit so it's easier for some lazy stupid person like me to learn, not that i think that u r like me but hei... if a person as lazy and dumb as i am can use Blender for several things more than just rotating why not u check out my file (haven't got the time to upload it yet, but soon). That's all from meThread: Blender 2.46 get slower when used | Forum: Blender

>--->13)The ability to turn ANY model into a light. The idea is that it'll save on lightng time, and creating certain effects would be MUCH easier. No need to make an object, make it transparent and then place a light inside it just to get the correct effect. Simply right-click (or something else) and click on 'Make Light Source.' There'll be light editing options of course. But the moment you make it a light source, it's Edit Menu is the same as a normal lamp.
Yeah, and you will make Blender look like DAZ which i have regretfully downloaded, i think... this is my personal opinion.... what make Blender so wonderfull is it has the ability to become everything you need.
My suggestion for Blender 2.50 is... that it have some template for particle system, so it will be a hell lot easier to create some fur and hair style.
Thread: Bone Heat in 2.46 is SO COOL! | Forum: Blender
Quote - Rigging is tidiouse work and takes up a LOT of time.
But it all seems to go down the drain when I try to pose the figure. It always screws up the joints. They either invert or flatten. Does the new Bone Heat feature fix this?
i don't know for sure by what you mean. but as far as i've tried this new bone heat system i haven't use rigging at all. For the finger and pose i use pose edit mode and play around with the bones. At least that's all i can say for now. and i think it saves more time than rigging. that's my opinion.
Thread: Bone Heat in 2.46 is SO COOL! | Forum: Blender
As far as i may concern the bone heat system is cool, it saves many hours of vertex grouping nor the envelope system. indeed the system developed by the blender guys is awesome. Blender are now already being the first open source 3d software that can fully match several major paid 3d software.
Anyway, what you should all know is that in 2.46 you can't bone heat two mesh with one armature structure. you have to do it one by one. But though it still too cool to be true

Quote - regarding screen captures:
You don't need special software, any keyboard that has a "print screen" button will let you take a picture of your screen. Alt+print screen will take a picture of just the current window. You may have to paste (ctrl+v) into a paint program and save it, if you haven't got one something like MS Paint will do :)
k, will try it. As for now i'm going to try the latest blender update i can find and will show you what i can come up with. thank you all for the quick response.

Are you creating hair for Blender? to render in Blender? or is this to export to other 3D apps?
Blender has a new particle component in which you could create hair that can be exported to other 3D programs
i'm creating hair to render in Blender (but i really don't get what you mean by that). the main thing is that i want to make hair inside Blender.
About the screenshot, i'm working at it, i'm lack of screen capture software.
To get clearer, i need a help in creating hair for my model in Blender, i can make the particle to the shape that i want but only in the front view while the rear is too stiff or messy either way. what should i do, right now i'm using Blender 2.45 and a patch from 2.43 from Jarhka. i just don't get it....
