Yeah, seems I spoke too soon thinking it was browser-specific, I'm having the same problems on Chrome and Safari now as well as Firefox. Great.

What browser do you use? I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the difference, but I could be wrong. For me, it’s very browser specific, with Firefox being problematic regardless of day or time, and Chrome and IOS Safari being mostly fine all the time. Sometimes if I try to browse Renderosity on Firefox the browser gets so hung up it doesn’t even close if I x out, I have to close it in Task Manager. So I tend to think it has to do with a script or something running on the site that Firefox really doesn’t like. But I don’t know if anybody else here that’s having problems uses Firefox? It's odd. I never see the slowdowns people are talking about. I have a slow connection so you'd think if all of you with high-speed stuff see a slowdown, it would become unusable to me.

I find this site is so slow on Firefox it's unusable, and it's been that way for about 1-2 months. But it runs okay on Chrome and on iPhone Safari. I thought maybe it was me so I ran Firefox in safe mode with no plugins, but it made no difference.
Thread: Use VWD-generated object as cloth again? (Daz bridge version) | Forum: Virtual World Dynamics
Thread: Daz Studio bridge to VWD | Forum: Virtual World Dynamics
I'm having two problems getting this to work, one might be a bridge problem, and one might be a VWD problem that may or may not be related.
First, when I click on the "VWDPython.dse" file, I get an error that the External program c:/blahblah/VWD/VWDClothAndHair.exe launch failed. The file path is correct, so it isn't that the file isn't where it thinks it is.
I can manually start the .exe while the script is running, and it will import the list of scene objects, so it seems to be a workaround, but then I have my second problem.
I can load the figure as the collision object, but some clothes will not import. It seems to be the name issue that the manual talks about, as it says it cannot find the .obj file, but no matter what I rename the clothing it still won't work. Ironically in one case it is a dress named "dress", so it is the exact example of what the manual says to rename it to.

Quote - Very cool and original.
Quote - Very good.
Thank you both!
A little off-topic, but: The lack of features in this forum software is a little painful... how does anybody keep track of who is quoting who when replying?

Renders have slowed down a little in this thread recently, so I thought I'd jump in. Feedback and suggestions for improvement are more than welcome. Some minor postwork was performed. I'd ultimately like to turn this into an old-looking photo, but that requires a whole other set of postwork skills I don't have yet.
"Evening Constitutional"
The Mechanical Man -- being a marvel of copper and brass -- had no need of the modesty afforded to more conventional men by a shirt and trousers. But the very thought of going about town without his waistcoat and evening jacket would have been -- as any Gentleman knows -- quite absurd.
Thread: Need Direct Eye Contact with Camera in DAZ-Pulling Hair Out!! | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Quote - There is a simple solution if I understand you correct.
Select both eyes, then under parameter|all click on the "Point At" button and select the camera you want her to look at.
Hope this helps.
I think one problem I've found with the "point at" approach is that it rotates the eyeballs themselves, but doesn't look natural because the eyelids don't adjust with them. (Although maybe I'm doing something wrong.)
This is my approach with Genesis: Once the camera is positioned, I select the camera in the viewport, turn off visibility on the head and hair, and use the Head/Eye pose controls for up-and-down, and side-to-side until the pupils appear centered in the eyeballs, like a bulls-eye. Then turn the head and hair visibility back on. That automatically adjusts the eyelids and such for a more natural look (which of course can be further adjusted afterwards).
I used to do something similar for V4. I don't remember exactly; but I'm fairly sure it was also using some kind of controller, not direct rotation or Point At for the eyes.
