Quote - > Quote - how to delete full body morph?
To delete an full body morph (FBM) channel/dial in the Body, you can sellect the channel in the Hierarchy Editor, then press the Delete key on your keyboard. You will need to use "Show all parameters" in the Hierarchy Editor in order to see the FBM channel.

It works! Great. Thanks for the big help!

I've tried that, however the delete option is unavailable for the body morph or bordy part morphs it creates? Anybody done this?

I heard SSD is 2 - 10 faster for reads anyway... but then I've read elsewhere that they're only marginally faster... who's right? Anyone here got experience with them? I'll have to do more research there...

yes I almost forgot about win 7 64bit... but then I remembered reading how it improves things for 2010
yes.... I've been checking out i7s vs AMDs 1000s and it seems to specifically for rendering i7s do quite a bit better... which is however also reflected in the price tag.... hmm might spend the extra couple of hundred... don't think I can hold out till next year... I want it during the xmas holidays... hopefully some specials before xmas as well!
I'm going for 8GB, if I see any sort of bottle neck I'll propably upgrade to 12GB
I really want to take the plunge and go for SSD as the OS drive... I don't want to spend the extra on a RAID though, but rather an additional drive and back-up to that... doesn't raid auto copy everything and basically leave you with the capacity of one drive, but data loss prevention?
3D card not important? ... I suppose only the privew right? but do you get better/ faster previews?

I'm in Australia, so...
But you seem to have gotten a good deal there, what kind of monitor did you get?
The only component which seems a little outdated is your Geforce 9800, otherwise pretty heavy duty machine you got there.... does 64bit vs 32bit make a big difference?
12gig of RAME nice :) that's going to speed things up a little, wonder how big a role RAM plays for 3D rendering though or is it mostly CPU?

thanks for the input
I'm going to give the weld group thing a try, sounds like it could help, thanks TetsuTora, got ask you about your lighting technique as well
hmm, not sure if I've tried to weld on import, worth a try also
was hoping I wouldn't have to mess directly with modifying polys, etc, but perhaps it gives you a lot more control
once you know you way around does it take long to do such edits? like changing geometry, uv maps, adding textures, sounds like hours of work?

so you can't just export and weld or weld inside blender?
it sounds like you're saying you have to do it manually... yes, i wouldn't be able to do that I don't think, cause I don't model... is there a tool that does that automatically somehow
I've tried constrained groups, but it doesn't hold it together, not sure how choreographed works... but I assume if constrained doesn't work choreographed wouldn't either or am I wrong?
Thread: Poser + which is the best sculpting software for morphs... that actually works?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
thanks for all the feedback, let me respond to some of them:
if PoserPro 2010 has improved in that department, I'll def have to try that first... obviously easiest to do at the source so to speak
Sculptris - Unless you press Q and disable the subdivision... if that's all it is, I'll have to try it again, cause it's def the simplest to use for what I need, hope the re-import works as TrekkieGrrrl seems to have had issues
3)Â ok have put Argile and Blacksmith3D on the try list as well
4)Â Carrera or Cinenam4D seem a bit much for what I need right now, but IÂ have found it hard to keep round surfaces round with sculpting tools, which might be easier to do with traditional modelling, I'm a noob re modelling though, so I'm prob not doing it right

Thanks for the replies.
Unfortunately the welding option Poser provides, does not work most of the garments I've used.
I was hoping I wasn't going to have to use a 3rd party modelling app... however it seems to be the only option.
Definitely no way around using a using a modelling app?

yes a lot of pjz99s freebies appear to be there, let's hope pjz99 finds the time to upload this and other morphs there as well... :)

hi there, thank you for the link... lots of great stuff there...
I did have a hard time finding the toe morph though... am I blind? :(

ok tried 2 things:
used compose to first merge 'chest' and 'abdomen' objects and the 'joined vertices', then saved new obj file, loaded into poser.... however now crashes every time when I try to run the simulation :(
tried assigning the 'trim' to soft_decorated group... surprise... surprise it worked!! :) ... I didn't expect it to work at all, but it looks perfect! (hope this works with other more intricate clothing as well) great tip and easy solution! Thanks.

oh and... 'looking closely at the mesh' does that mean to check if the vertices of the 2 materials intersect? when looking at V4s sportsbra it does look like that is the case?

thanks for the comments so faruvmapper/ compose seem to do what I'm looking for.
So compose for example. I downloaded it, opened up the obj file with it. It does display the objects and materials. I assume I have to join the geometry vertices. When I do that it says 'has no geometry vertices that need joining'. Yeah... I'm doing something wrong aren't I?
... should I actually be using 'merge items' button.
Another thing:
It seems it's the materials that I should be joining rather than the objects... but when I select either of the materials I don't have the 'merge items' or 'join vertices' options.
Is there a quick guide somewhere out there that explains what I should be doing with Compose or UVMapper?
thanks.
