Thanks for answering the question, the prompt response in doing so, and the link, JenyK :)
Thread: Donation Money - Where did it Go? | Forum: Community Center
Just for the record, I asked this question because, should, one day in the future, Renderosity provide the avenues to donate to charitable causes again, I feel they would guarantee a maximum response from members if they know where it's going, when it's going there and how much is raised. If members are satisfied by knowing this information, then, with the member-base you have here, and the international diversity of it, you could really do some serious fund-raising. Amidst all the controversies continually providing me with an entertaining read in this forum, the fact that you facilitated (I don't get out much ;), in more ways than one, for donations to be collected and forwarded demonstrates that you have the desire to do the right thing. Providing information on the where the money went, and how much was raised would no doubt ensure you can fulfil your charitable opportunities with your site in the future, which ultimately benefits the recipients of the funds. Hence, asking the questions in the first place. I certainly wasn't attempting to provoke conversation (though, being the regular reader I declared myself to be above, I should not be so naive) on any potential underhandedness. Oh... and for the record, despite not actually having any art here, I've been a member for over a year, and tour the galls here all the time. The talent and imagination here is awesome. IMHO, that is :)

Thank you for the info and encouragement. Oh, and I'm sorry for apologising ;) Love life and live it. Tricky.
Thread: HELP ME!! | Forum: Community Center
I was in this exact position and found that if you hang in the chat room from time to time, there's usually plenty of people there willing to answer questions and give you their opinions on whatever progies they use or have used. In fact, the chat room here was the first place I found, and it helped me to realise that there's a lot more than meets the eye in the galleries. Just go there and start asking questions - you'll be inundated with helpful info. Alternatively, you could send an instant message to those people who's art you particularly like, and they may give you specific pointers on their methods and styles. Good luck :) Oh, and by the way, in doing this, I realised I needed a lot of time to do this kinda art, and have not created anything yet, myself. However, when the time comes that I will, I've got a foundation to start from :)

Ent: I think it's important to point out that you're quote of the lyrics from that song - Ironic... None of that is actually irony, it's just misfortune ;) My first post in the forums HAS to be an important one, you know. Oh, and as for my friend, Mr Ed, I've found him to be nothing but helpful to most people who cross his path. I'm certainly not sorry he's not a lapdog, rolling over to take the crap OTS or anyone else hands out to him, cuz he's still around being helpful. What goes around comes around... Some of us don't take forever to figure that one out, but then, some of us don't overestimate the fascination other's may have about our flagrant inability to hide our own stupidity :) Now Ed, roll over so I can give your tummy a scratch :P
