Oooh, that's another idea - I never thought of covering the terrain into a vertex model. By that logic, I should be able to apply a hair object to the converted terrain... thanks for the inspiration, I'll see if it works and will report back :-)

Thanks Antaran,
I've just tried that approach and it works much better. I've made this from a single stalk of grass, replicated it onto a plane, and then replicated the plane onto the terrain. I guess that's the way to model grass: not using the Hair Primitive :-)
Thread: How to animate clouds | Forum: Carrara
Thanks for the tip, I've worked it out. Even with the highest setting the clouds still moved very slow, but nothing a little speed-up in a video editor couldn't fix.

Great, thanks! About the spherical sky texture map: where to I add that, and does it have to be a HDRI or can it be a standard image?
Thread: Render Cores | Forum: Carrara
There's a similar discussion over at DAZ, and someone's showing a screen grab of 36 cores in action. But I think they don't know the core limit either.

Mark! Thank you :-) How are you?
I've tried that, but the colour only appears to apply when I'm using the ground plane. When you switch that off (like I have), I still get a murky brown. I've tried to move all elements further up in the scene, but that didn't work either. Ideally I'd like to see the clouds of the realistic sky in the background. Can that be done?

Fantastic de3an, I love them all. My favourite is the Light and Shadows one with Kimberley and Jason. Great idea!
