WOW! Wonderful as usual Neftis. One small tiny suggestion on the Mihai_hair. Blend the transition area a bit more. Better yet, could you make it an option and fill the bottom portion of the head with the hair from the top so he doesn't always have a buzz cut at the bottom. It'll be a computer hog for sure, but will make the hair cut even more versatile. I've loved all your hair styles. Thanks again for continuing to develop products for Michael. He desperately needs it.
Thread: Question for P5 users | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
How do you get P5 to look into a different runtime folder (i.e. the P4 runtime folder) or have it use multiple runtime folders? How do you access this feature?

Does anyone know if the Splash image from Daz was actually done in Poser? To me, it was either done in a higher end software or it was heavily postworked. Does anyone know for sure? For instance there was a background fade with the ear blurred. I don't believe this is achievable in Poser.
Thread: Poser 5 and Applying Textures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think the CL lost sight of the key feature that made Poser 4 such a success in its target market... EASE OF USE In all the previous releases of Poser, though sometimes less then perfect, did not take a Ph.D. to figure out. I personally do not use high end 3D software because they have such a HUGE learning curve. Looks like P5 has really put itself into that high learning curve! Disappointing... I think I'll wait on the upgrade myself visualkinetics

Thread: DAZ's policy? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Daz is just worried about "reverse engineering" or taking embedded morphs from "other products" and using the millennium figure morphs for free. What it all has to do with is $$$$$$. What Jim Burton said was right, making sure that the derivatives don't "bypassing the need for the figure you are borrowing from"... i.e. all the "morphed clothing models". With the invention of Tailor, model makers are able to make clothes fit the ever expending morphs for the millennium figures, thus making the need to buy the "morphable" clothing updates obsolete. I think it's a total rip off in the first place to have to buy the morphable versions of the clothing packs. They should be free updates if you have the original version. So as long as the clothing products provided other vendors does not cause DAZ sales to drop, they'll be fine. I think it makes really bad business sense to make new enemies with a loyal client base. You all of a sudden loose a lot of business as a result of trying to save the "potential losses" from morphable clothing packs & such. Sort of the same thing with Poser with the whole licensing at a discount no questions asked deal... you'd think DAZ would learn from that incident. It doesn't pay to try to recover potential losses, it just makes you lose what's already in your hands. visualkinetics

It's times like this when Renderosity really feels like home. I am amazed and honored that Shawn thought of this community when saying her goodbyes. God speed to her and may she rest in peace. visualkinetics
Thread: My Mestiza Character... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
She is very beautiful, but is it just me or does her right eye look a little off? Perhaps it's the camera angle, but her right eye seems slanted up and the eyeball is looking way too far right in the right eye. Otherwise, very lovely. visualkinetics

Thread: Maximum Render DPI In Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I run into the same problem all the time and hit the 4090 pixel cap. I usually just try to zoom in on the objects and composite them separately in photoshop. I've managed to get pretty good results this way even up to a 11" x 17" tabloid poster. ***Hint hint for Curious Labs listeners... remove the 4090 x 4090 pixel maximum for renders in the next version!!! visualkinetics
Thread: working on hairy guy | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Very nice job! I would recommend thicker and bushier eyebrows to go with the body. Right now it's just one straight line, making him look a bit as though he'd plucked his eyebrows. The face hair seems too fine. The strokes should be thicker... maybe more of a five o'clock shadow would look nice. Can't wait to see the finished results. visualkinetics
