Evidently, 12 did NOT like my preferences. Re-installed without my pref. and can, now, load and see my "actor". Other than the DSON problem, it now works. Thank you all for replying.

Tried altering render settings to no avail. Sigh. Probably should have tried the free trial before purchasing. Going to un then re-install without my prferences. Hopefully, that will work. Thank you for help.

Uninstalled. Installed. Nothing shows up in window, yet in the "parameters" window the specs show up. Thank you so much. A fine Christmas present! Am in the process of "conversion" today. I have PBoost, but it seems to confuse Poser and me..loaded new libraries and then couldn't access them. Bummer! Your suggestions seem to handle the situation nicely. Thanks again.
