I found this trick long time ago, not necessary a secret, but a useful source. I am not sure if it is legal or allowed to distribute the internal mocap data as I have no idea who owns DS now so long after the MC day, but I created some for Poser to use, hundreds of them, not the dance steps, but some cool motions or stylish posing, see the gif thumbnail. I am not going to discuss the technique as it takes to much pages to explain, but I would like to make them free for this great human community to use, no cost, and no re-distribution is allowed. Tell me if you think this is ok, and I will be ready to proceed. BTW, I need a host site to upld.

BTW, Posette, Vic, Jude..compatible. And if this is ok, accept them as holiday present. :)

Looks cool. Very interested. Can't contribute more, sorry. Consider this a long-winded bookmark. Shameful...I know...

What OS are you using with Dance studio, and what processor? DS locked up on my system. Niles

Dance Studio is now abandonware, so any bvh files that come from it can no doubt be distributed as you see fit.

Where can one buy a copy of it? Maybe I should answer my own question and check eBay.

milamber42 ( ) posted Fri, 13 December 2002 at 11:34 PM

Does anyone know where I can get the patch to allow BVH exports?

MungoPark ( ) posted Sat, 14 December 2002 at 2:34 AM

I am also looking for the patch, because I cant export bvh - Who has it ?

poserpro ( ) posted Sat, 14 December 2002 at 7:43 AM

I have it, mail me for request.

Attached Link: http://www.zenwareonline.com

I just checked: Daniel Wilmes of CR2Edit fame still has the bvh fixer file at his site (with other clever stuff); click the free applications link. Poserpro, hope you find a place to post the bvh files. Haven't had time in ages to play with animation or bvh/Dance Studio, but have seen some fun things done with it.
