Welcome to the Poser Technical Forum.
Where computer nerds can Pull out their slide rules and not get laughed at. Pocket protectors are not required. ;-)
This is the place you come to ask questions and share new ideas about using the internal file structure of Poser to push the program past it's normal limits.

I'm having trouble getting an export of the Vickiy LoRes version that I can use for saving/creating morph targets. The original obj in the DAZ folder has 18331 vertices and 19907 uv coordinates, but if you export the entire body from Poser, you end up with 19487 vertices and 21087 uv's. Doesn't seem to matter what combination of export options I use - ie using Weld on, As Morph Target or both. Also isn't a bad rsr, and also does it if you just create a brand new scene and then load the model and immediately export. So I'm thinking it must be some bad welding operation(s) within Poser. The cr2 appears to have all the proper Weld statements, but perhaps I missed something. Further on that suspicion, I checked it out with the beta version of Hi-Res 1.80 and their definately are exactly 1156 duplicate vertices and 1180 duplicate uv's, so it seems pretty certain it is a welding problem. Unfortunately, if I just remove them after the fact like this, they don't end up in the same order as in the original .obj - which is one of the reasons why the program is still a beta version :) I'm working on a brand new 'cartoony' character that's based on the Vicky meshes, so I do need to use the entire body mesh. Some of the global morphs/redesign of the model are done using magnets, with the rest applied after that using new Hi-Res, so I would prefer to use the Poser exports as the interim step. But man, this is weird with it creating new points and/or not welding them back together properly. So just wondering if anyone else has been working with the Vikcy LoRes version enough to have come across a similar situation.
