My husband has just told me that he has got me Poser 5 for Christmas (weeeee!). I am now too excited and can not wait. Please can someone answer these questions for me and let me at least sleep this side of Christmas. 1. Does Poser 5 do Python scripting like Pro Pack? 2. Do Judy and Don fit Victoria/Michael or P4 clothes? 3. What is on the 'freebie' disk in the Poser 5 box (he let me look at the box coz I kept on about it!)? Any info would be great. Thanks.

#1 Yes #2 No #3 All kinds of freebies. ;)

#1 Yes, but compiled Python scripts for Poser 4 Pro Pack won't work, IIRC. Non-compiled scripts should work however. #2 Unfortunately not. #3 Bunches of stuff, however, some items are missing and are available at Curious Labs website.

#2 (explained) Not by default but with the material room some of it can be made to fit.

Attached Link: From the desk of Imagination Works

All of our models are now P5 compatible. The only problem we had loading our models into P5 (all of which were orginally converted for P4) was with smoothing. We've straightened out the problem with every model in our Poser collection now, and they actually work GREAT in P5. I hope you enjoy working with it. We love the program and once all the bugs are worked out, I think most avid Poser users will feel the same. One thing for sure is... YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE... ANYWHERE! And you're right, elgyfu, the program is worth the price for the content alone! Some people might differ with this statement but it's merely an opinion that comes from 10 year veterans of 3ds/max.

ENJOY, elgyfu... And Happy Holidays to you!

Cheers!
Pam

Elgyfu I would be a good idea to get SR-2 & the figure updater now so you will be ready to run at Christmas.

"It would be a good idea to get SR-2 & the figure updater now so you will be ready to run at Christmas." This will save you some grief and is an REAL good idea. Philywebrider makes a good point here. :) Pam
