Subject: Fast rendering GI with only one light and the sun!

Instead of using a light dome, use negative lights to create the GI like shadows. Fiddle with the gradient and the light settings to get the perfect look. This is my fist try. HDRI-map for the sky, one negative light for the GI-like shadow and one soft-shadowed sun for the keylight.

That is a very interesting effect. I like the way the shadow worked out and the sky is very pretty. Lin

I didn't think Bryce could handle HDRI - did you clip it to 8 bit TIFF first?

I made a few renders of different bryce-sky's in 360 degree panorama mode and combined them in PSP. Then saved the image as a BMP and mapped it on a huge sphere in sinusoidal (or however it's called) mapping mode. I made the sphere additive and made the sky full black. Then I used the reflection of the metal ball to get the lighting from the sphere.
