I was wondering how you go about modifing privitives. For example 1/2 ciricles. Is there a tutoral on it or do you need to use another program.

Take a look in your manual for "Boolean". Dont know of any tutorials on the process off the top of my head but check these two galleries out for some excellent examples of using primatives and booleans. http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez?ByArtist=Yes&Artist=humorix http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez?ByArtist=Y&Artist=Bambam131

Heres a basic tutorial: Step 1: Create a simple sphere, and in the objects attribute, make it positive.

Step 2: Now create a cube, that covers half of the sphere, and make this negative.

Step 3: Copy and paste the sphere, make it slightly smaller, and make that sphere negative as well! Select the two spheres and the cube and group them together.

Now this is how it should look like! Remember, that if you want to have different textures on the parts, you must select that part alone. You can also select a part in the group and move it around. Hope this helps!
