Poser generally objects to polygons of more than 4 sides. Possibly the quickest way to get an alternative mesh will be to open the scull cap OBJ in UV Mapper and triangulate (I think the shortcut key is "t"). Save the OBJ with a new name, import it into Poser and parent to the head. Save as a smart prop. Try it and see, I'll be interested to see the results.

I have a thank you and then a question for PhilC. First, major thanks for the freestuff skullcaps you provided; expecially making them royalty free. Having modeler's like you in the community makes everyone's experience with Poser more pleasant. The question, then. The skullcaps are modeled using the typical "rows of squares" mesh with the rows aligned front to back and side to side. I understand the practical purpose behind this approach, but one disadvantage to this approach is that, with most styles, P5's hair strands line up along the verticies. This means that there will be angels that tend to show gaps between the rows (similar to looking at a cornfield). This can be partially overcome by changing the angle and/or by increasing the strand density significantly (or by using a "high density edge" approach I've been using recently). I was wondering if it was a simple procedure to move from a square mesh to a different mesh with greater variability in the positioning of the verticies? Something like an oblong octagon (I've seen this type in other meshes)?
