Subject: 2nd Poser Custom Install

Terrielee ( ) posted Fri, 03 January 2003 at 2:04 PM · edited Sun, 24 November 2024 at 3:05 AM

I want to install Poser Pro Pack a second time on my computer, creating a path for the new program, such as: C:Program FilesCurious LabsPoserProPack_2 and then do the following custom install:

I want to empty out (delete) most of the Geometry folders and unnecessary Library folders - Poses, Hands, Props, etc. - but leave the file structure in place. Then I want to install only the Geometry and Library folders that I want. This would enable me to have a separate custom install of just one or two favorite models, their hair, MAT files, clothes, lights and props.

Has anyone ever done this? It seems to me that it would be wonderful to have a specific, uncluttered custom install.

Thanks for your thoughts!
TLee

Actually I did this over the Holiday break for us, I deleted all the files I never use, and kept all the ones I do. I of course deleted some files that were needed for some of the other models, but I had not emptied my recycle bin and just returned them. It is a big job but I tell you it was totally worth it, it loads so much faster and works with great speed. Sharen
